TBH - we were screwed for a starting 6. Pep made a guess and it was wrong...He should have started if he was fit enough for the bench.

I think he quite easily matches Oct 25 rodri .I wouldn't call the recent and improved performances as "hype". I haven't seen anyone claiming he has the ability to match Rodri.
My belief is he wasn't fully fit yesterday, otherwise he would have started. And if he starts, we're stronger in midfield than what we began with.
He put hinsekf about and at times was abit and showed some bite which no one else did .I thought he was exactly what was missing when he came on. Pressed high up, won it back and kept us ticking over. Yes he got wrong side once and he is slow but we looked better with him in the side. I like him.

Just like Zaba. He’ll learn.Miles better when he came on. The tactics were still wrong though and so he was fighting against both them and the villa midfield. we needed him and bernardo next to each other with foden as the 10 for a proper functioning midfield today.
He has a habit of taking really poor yellow cards unnecessarily though which then seriously limits him for the remainder. That has got to improve quickly before it starts costing us.
