14 | Nico Gonzalez - 2025/26

really starting to show his class.

Smart, coachable and a great no.6....and will get better.

Could even play with Rodri as both can get forward effectively.

Hope this knock doesnt keep out

Im hearing rumours hes done his metatarsal, hopefully it's bullshit.
Sure you are posting with best intentions but personally hate this type of ‘I’ve heard’ alarmist posts. Pep reported he had a knock to his foot. Please add substance to your post- when did you hear the rumour/ is it a reliable source etc.

Yep but we still have to wait till he has his scan to be sure!

I actually totally agree with you, but there are these rumours. I guess we'll see in Peps press conference tomorrow.

Rodri was far worst than Nico has ever been. I don’t recall Nico having a bad game for City. He may have had a few average ones, but he’s never put in any stinkers. He’s been steady since we’ve signed him but he’s starting to get better every game he plays.
He is a bit of a mix of De Jong and Rodri. To be honest, that's not too shabby. If he improves 10%, say, he could be exceptional for us. Arbitrary number, sure, but you know what I mean. I really rate him.

It should be the set up away at the likes of the Liverpool, Newcastl etc? Would make us much more stable in the midfield area

I think he has great potential, getting better with the ball, quicker reactions than earlier in the season. Takes up good positioning when the opposition are in possession, but is rarely moves into space to receive the ball from our players which irritates me.

Great name for a footballer. Plus I notice he sticks his head under a tap before he comes on as a sub. Sort of thing I'd do if I were a pro footballer. Don't know why. Anyway, he's playing very well. Good luck to the lad.

Yeah I can see it has it potential uses....the fact that both Rodri and Nico as well as defensively very aware, are more than decent going forward as well is a real bonus.

Exactly mate. One of them is capable of pushing forward as well if required but both are also excellent football players with the passing range required in the big games

Reminds me more of a Xabi Alonso than a Rodri but good on him, starting to look the part and has never really let us down. Great to have options
