If he wants to point the finger at anyone, why doesn’t he blame his director of football who identified the transfer targets and negotiated the fees.

City wanted Wirtz but wouldn’t pay the extra money his dad wanted. So they went and purchased Reindjeers and Cherki for less money.

They should get Micheal Edwards back to illegally accessing City’s scouting data base to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Hopefully he is there a very long time, as he doesn't realise that Liverpool haven't won many trophies in the last 10 years.
Losing to Plymouth last season in the FA Cup, should have made him realise that most teams take Cup competitions seriously.

Some dipper fans of my acquaintance were strutting around boasting that they would dominate football for the next decade after the profligate summer spending. I told a couple to come back after they had won four in a row and was told confidently that they would match and exceed that.
For some reason those same dippers seem to have gone into hibernation over the past weeks.

To be fair, some of our own fans were saying the same thing on here back in the summer!
 
Why, well I suppose I know why, is it never mentioned that they spent best part of 500m in the summer on these match reports?
 
Not just City, but any team that spent half a billion in the summer and is returning these results would get battered by the media.
All I hear is Slots having a bad day, team selection poor.
How about Wirtz, 116m, dog shit. Isak, 130m, dogshit.

I've just said in another thread that what Slot said could be read as a back-handed compliment about the quality of our squad and the back-ups, and it could be a dig at his own board to strengthen their own squad or recruit better. I'm not convinced that it was an anti-City comment. That said, I’m not sure how he can have the neck to complain given how much they spent in the summer and I actually don't think what he said is going to go down well with the hierarchy over there!

Several of our most important players not even on the bench, but we still fielded a team strong enough to win.

Earnie Lost should have heeded the lesson Argyle handed out to him last season.

Lifelong fan didnt mention a thing about this in first 5 games.

Liverpool supporting mates of mine aren't happy with last night or that bullshit excuse. Can't complain about spending £300m+ on 3 players, just because they aren't 6!

When you are in a rut of form, hamstringing yourself by having just an academy bench is pathetic management
