Cherki has to play. We are in danger of doing what Chelsea did with Salah and KDB.

He's got to be given a long run of games as no10 behind the big man and then 2x wide players. Doku and Foden. I'd play Nico as holding and maybe Bernado in the middle as well.

Haaland is bang average most games but is a 30 goal a season man. Marmoush done something that Bobb and Savinho never look like doing and for that alone deserves to start ahead of either.
This season Haaland has been far from bang average, his all-round game is improving and he is getting more involved in games.

Seems strange to pick Villa away to test that theory out

Our best 3 options at DM were out injured or not fully fit, plus Marmoush wasn't in top condition either. Thus we were a bit soft and lightweight in CM and on the wings. Perhaps Doku should have started instead of Bobb.

just came on to say Bournemouth played liverpool first up got beat and have then had a very kind fixtures.

their 5 wins are wolves at home, spurs away (38% possession), brighton at home, forest at home and Fulham at home.

they got beat by brentford and drawn away at leeds, home to newcastle, and away at palace.

in reality they should not be 2nd and will revert to the rightful place in mid table.

they got one big lad on the break just fucking crock him minute Khusanov
Reality is, they are second

Cherki looked fatigued 2nd half, keep him on the bench and bring him on at HT if we’re say 3-0 up

No chance of dropping points in that scenario
If fitness is a concern wouldn't you play him the first 60 (or less) instead of bringing him on later?

I'd much rather sew the game up by going full throttle early and then subbing defensively later on.

Spurs and Brighton have beaten us this season.

It’s not even close to being like KDB and Salah at Chelsea.
They played 16 games between them (3 + 13) in 2 years. City have played 14 games so far, Cherki has featured in 4 but been unavailable due to injury for 7. I think he’ll be ok.

See Dortmund are playing tonight plenty rest for them while the premier league and media wonder we struggle in the later stages of champions league..
This is where the PL, as a collective, should put their foot down.
Liverpool and Spuds playing on Tuesday so, obviously, Spurs kick off at 1730 and Liverpool kick off at 2000.
City and Newcastle play on Wednesday, so they both play on Sunday, obviously!

Should be a straight forward home win. Imo Tijjani Reijnders should be dropped for Cherki to play in the middle with Foden. Rodri is back in training imo start him for the first 45mins with Nico G and Khusanov at RB, it's a toss up between Doku and Marmoush for the LW spot.

Fair point. No easy games in this league, we can’t be taking these lightly and saving players for the Dortmund game though.
Agreed- I know it's early and there are still 87 points to be had- and titles are not won in October----

But i get the sense this would be a statement for us and but the Arse on alert by beating 2nd place Bournemouth:

Look- they haven't exactly been tearing it up despite their run of form which has them in 1st:

Beat 10th CryPals by 1
Beat 17th Fulham by 1
Beat 19th West Ham by 2
Beat 12th Barcodes by 1
Drew us after we basically had it in the bag until fucking late-- (sorry I just threw up again)

Arse are not the Juggernaut they are hyped to be. We have miles to go before we are the team who will potentially lift the cup- but we are back fit, growing in stature and hopefully Pep can start truly playing to our strengths.

It's only a matter of time before they shit the bed as they always do. We need to keep the pressure on as we rebuild this team and become the Treble winning Centurions 2.0 we all hope we can be.
