To get some consistency and certainty back with VAR, I'm happy for a touch to mean no penalty. Unfortunately for VAR's sake the rules need to be simpler.

I actually thought it looked nailed on at first but I actually think the touch was enough.

The Pope one on Gyokeres was worse but I said back then they should just make it so a defensive touch on the ball means no penalty, so I have to be consistent.

Your last sentence sums up PiGMol approach. They have dug another hole with the recent " any touch" denial of penalty's .
It has resulted in decisions being made inside and outside the box that show no consistency.
I think the strategy will ultimately lead to another major controversy.
Hope we are not at the centre of it.

Newcastle are so bad, and nowhere near finishing in the top half. I can see Bruno G and Livramento throwing a tantrum and pushing for a move next summer

That's just VAR all over, because of overanalysis nothing can be wrong anymore.

It's the way the handball rule has gone, initially it was to stop deliberate handballs, now it just has to hit an outstretched arm deliberate or not.

Set Piece FC across the entire league is because of VAR and the changing of refereeing.

I really enjoyed Swansea mid-week without it all.

Pigmol messed up handball.
Messed up allowing keepers to be fouled in 6 yd box, resulting in scrums.
Now messing up penalties.
I might add allowing shirt pulling unless it is over 5 seconds.
The referees are crap, managed by a shit organisation

I've never heard of Freddie Potts but if you gave me one guess as to who he played for, that name has West Ham written all over it.

Is this the closest the league has been after 10 games. Apart from Arsenal there is no other standout team. Only Arsenal on 20+ points.

Feel for Areola. He's been up and down the pitch so many times, it's no wonder he's got cramp...
