In 23/24 Rodri contributed 17 G/A in the league while dictating the games and being a defensive beast. I doubt one can point out a more complete City player than the 23/24 Rodri.

Yaya was fantastic in attack in 13/14, but he didn't control the midfield and shield the defence like Rodri. Rodri completed over 100 passes per game in 23/24. That was Xavi level of quality plus more defensive cobtributions than Xavi.

Would guess to either change foot position, or possibly in case of late tackles coming in. He's been caught a few times lately and might still be slightly wary.

Would love this too, but have a feeling Pep will ideally try to shoe-horn Reijnders into one of their positions.

Personally I think unless Reijnders improves his productivity, I would stick Rodri & Gonzalez in midfield & let Foden & Cherki have roaming, interconnecting roles ahead of them with Doku coming inside once in a while from the wings.

Opposition teams won't know who to pick up & defensive players will be shifted all over the place.

Faded a bit second half, looked tired but he was absolutely brilliant overall again. Kept things ticking and makes a lot of time for himself on the ball and is aware of everything going on around him. Love that he's starting to look forward a lot more as well.
