Huh ? that first half was basically Prime Rodri, both goals came from his line breaking passes.Very good defensively but still limited enough on the ball. The 5 min cameo from Rodri was a different level. Will be a great part of the squad though.

Hey whaddya know.I actually think he's shown enough to be trusted. Tidy on the ball, comfortable throwing his weight around, blends in with the play nicely. Sometimes gets caught beyond the ball, which Pep won't like, but him next to Rodri with Reijnders and Cherki/Foden in attacking positions looks like it could be really effective next season.
Brilliant today. What a great signing. Staggering how many wrote him off last season.
Happily they have no say...He is really growing into City’s system, great performance today. Sadly some here wanted him out a few weeks ago

EXACTLY!!!!No reason he can’t stay in the side when Rodri is back if we play a similar setup today, him and Bernardo were like a double pivot.
The most important thing he needs to “improve” is his pain threshold.I must be seeing something else. I dont know why many are shockingly impressed of late. He has NEVER not been good
His biggest issues was getting hobbled after being clattered. Which i think has happened in 3 games.
And then Pep didn't play him for a period, which had people concluding Pep didn't rate him and thus he isn't good.
But when he actually played, he was good. Even when he didn't fully understand the system.
Like everything about him.
Maybe if Rodri had missed a few more games with innocuous injuries we might’ve invested in a suitable backup soonerThe most important thing he needs to “improve” is his pain threshold.
Knocks at Leyton Orient and Villarreal have meant he’s missed games we needed him for.
Of course, I may be doing him a disservice, but before the ACL, Rodri was never injured with things like these.
