Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

They're not even watching the game half the time, the bouncing and scarf twirling bears no relation to the game. All a bit weird tbh.
Watch Dortmund home games ,that atmosphere is truly special. Would rather prefer to see and hear that on tv than just people standing around drinking beer.

Absolutely embarrassing.

Empty seats galore in the North Stand and loads more fuckin’ off for their pints 10 mins before half-time. We must be the ONLY club in the CL who does this?

Dortmund fans non-stop singing are the only ones you can hear.

I think back to days at Maine Road and blues who have passed away will be turning in their graves at how shite our support is now, despite watching this wonderful side?

I’m an old cnut now admittedly, but it’s pitiful.
But its the accoustic's...isn't it ?

Choreographed fandom isn't football. Fuck off to gridiron for shit like that.
Can you imagine trying to get a different or new chant going in the middle of all that forced fucking drum noise?
Everyone would pummel you.

City did stop the Ultras from bringing drums into the Etihad as it was killing the home support on a CL night. You can’t compete with a drum along with the vocal ultra support. For some reason the drum either go in tonight or was allowed in tonight by the club. Probably the most galling thing was, the drum was actually cable tied to the safe standing barrier. How the fuck is a drum allowed to be cabled tied to the safe stand barrier without any police or stewards intervening?

To be fair the traffic was horrendous tonight and supporters were still arriving after 20 minutes.

However it's a different demographic for the CL games and they're just not interested in contributing to the atmosphere, or even being more vociferous when it's obvious that the game is drifting and the players are starting to lose concentration and making silly mistakes.

Tonight was one of those occasions, but presumably the three lads sat behind me all work together, because that's all they talked about for the whole game.
Indeed one of them was in mid anecdote with City in the middle of a First Half attack, and he didn't even pause for breath when O'Reilly almost scored.

I'm not a great fan of choreographed singing, but when compared to nothing it looks amazing

Surely, instead of singing about Amorim or Zabaleta, we can work on CITY I'M IN LOVE and get that going in future games.

Who’s idea was it to allow Dortmund fans in with a bloody drum?

CL nights have been miles better without drums and our atmospheres were miles better with the away fans not knowing what to do without their incessant annoying twatting of the pig skin.

CITY, IF YOU’RE READING; PLEASE REVERT BACK TO NOT LETTING AWAY FANS BRING A DRUM IN. THANK YOU!

The drum killed the atmosphere last time we played them too when Haaland scored that acrobatic goal, glad I avoided it tonight.

German chanting isn't for me, much prefer a crowd that reacts to what's happening on the pitch.

Need a big performance from the crowd on Sunday.
