His off ball movement is horrible. Same with savinho who never run into the space behind the backline.

Savihno's off ball movement is fantastic. Probably his best attribute.

Makes no sense. Only a handful of games he’s had the freedom to drift this season. There’s been other games but off the top of my head. Last night, very good with an assist, Napoli wonder goal, utd 2 assists and on Sunday very good and should have had 2 excellent assists. So not really sure how anyone can think he doesn’t have the ability to play that role as it stands never mind if he continues to improve.

Could be double that amount, and a goal/assist per game if he actually puts in the shift off the ball instead of just waiting for it at his feet, regardless in the middle or on the wing. And he would be a BDO candidate if he does that. He's not a #10 to just walk around in the middle, receive passes to feet and then take it from there. His passing and vision is great but not worldclass for that.

But in the middle his poor workrate is hidden better. Sometimes it looks like he would prefer if the rules of the game are "whoever scores first wins" rather than playing 90 minutes. I get that his injury history is likely telling him to reduce how often he exerts his body.

But he is not developing into a better version of this, but just a tiny cog in the Pep machine that is content with being that and nothing more.

i get the feeling that for some players fans have already made there mind up around a player, nothing will change there mind regardless of the form there in, looking for any kind of negative action in a game to suit the narrative they have created

Jeremy Doku is such an excellent prospect and offers something that nobody else can for our team.
If he continues this rate of development, he will become a world-class player.

He beat men for fun last night. He causes chaos. His assist was nicely worked too.

You’re right to say one goal doesn’t suddenly mean he can finish. I think his pressing has improved a lot though. Ok he’s not going to get up and down like a Milner but then his strength is being explosive so often when he gets the ball. I thought him, Cherki and Foden all worked hard against Bournemouth where. If they didn’t the system wouldn’t work

Our players are very kind and naive; they need to be briefed by the staff. Doku should never get up quickly and stay on the ground and be stretchered off. Guirassy would have been sent off every day; any Real Madrid player would have done the same. We still lack experience.

Not something you want to see us do, but something you tend to need to do to win the CL because the opposition will happily stoop to those levels. It was something it took us a while to learn as a team and then we had that famous night in Madrid against Atletico where we just looked to outshithouse them from the get go and it worked. There were also other moments like Ferny winding up PSG and then getting the reaction he needed to get Di Maria sent off iirc.

I'm not even asking for a simulation; I'm just asking that we give the same importance to the foul play as to the others, that we use the same tools as our opponents, the referee consult VAR, and the only reason he didn't consult VAR is that Doku got up in 10 seconds.

The tackle was violent and very dangerous; it could have ended his season.

In the PSG-Bayern match, the referee gave a yellow card for Diaz's tackle on Hakimi, but since Hakimi was stretchered off, VAR called the referee and issued a deserved red card.

It's these kinds of details that decide Champions League matches.
