Strange situation. Let's be honest, everyone wanted the lad. So, was he just vastly overrated or have Liverpool not used him properly?

I never watched him in Germany so I wouldn't know where he played or what his strengths were that made him so marketable.

Be interesting to hear what those who watched him in Germany think.

He’s too soft. Simple as that.
 
The post match was only and only about the disallowed goal. Its incredible, no mentioned of the 3-0 but they put up that rule 2-3 times on there and I have never ever seen them put it up on a screen. Arne crying about it saying the same ref allowed ours against Wolves (desperate) and mentions that the linesman took 13 secons to raise his flag. How about looking at your performance than counting the second a few minutes after the game?
The commentary was flat at the final whistle as well, felt like it was a hard fought 1-0, we just dominated Pool but hey according to "experts" (pundits, Van Dijk and Arnse) 1-1 and its game on. Well not if the stats read as follows

They had 1 shot on target. The offside rule as is is always complicated and it should be flagged for any player anywhere in the vicinity regardless of him directly affecting it or not. Players movements and a lot of the things that follow that up get affected because of 1 player being offside. If Robertson wasn't there (offside) Doku or Donna might have taken up different positions, who knows.
Oh and Van Dijk got no shit for his big part in the Nico goal. Any other defender and the pundits call him out for putting up the lamest attempt at a block I have ever seen. I'd be furious if it was one of ours.
 
I thought we got our tactics spot on.
Starting off with a few sign on sign on coz you’ll never get a job chants, then in mid first half pressing on strongly with Steve Gerrard falling on his arse. Holding onto that strongly thru to half time. Second half a really good smattering of several blue moons down the wings of the stadium and also bringing on Bernie pulling the blue strings to good effect. Then finishing the game strongly with tearing scousers apart again. Well played the Etihad.
 
Lets put this offside to bed, he was offside in front of the keeper in the 6 yard box and ducked out of the way of the ball, in that one incident he intefered with play more than wirtz did the whole game.

Doku was immense today. Really pleased for him.
Some absolutely silky smooth passing and link up play from the rest of our team too.
