11 | Jeremy Doku - 2025/26

Fantastic today but he must track back some times, Slobarslai (or whatever his name is) kept dropping wide left unmarked meaning Oreilly had to step up to pick him up, leaving Salah alone. This happened quite a few times.

Such a ridiculous comment mate that’s almost comical. Bradley is a very good one v one defender, light years ahead of Arnold (who Doku tour a new one last season to the point where he looked like a pub player). Granted he didn’t produce the end product as Liverpool just defended the box and we didn’t have Erling that day. Not sure if you seen Bradley against the superstar is that JR the other night but Bradley pocketed him .

He still does daft things at times but he’s a great watch and such a threat.

This isn’t the Conner Bradley thread but it doesn’t take much to look at how the Liverpool community were writing him off 3 weeks ago

He played well V Vini but Real Madrid phoned that game in, they were a lazy disgrace

I’ve posted on here that Doku + O’Reilly would get joy. Primarily because they are both mint and secondary that Salah hasn’t got the physicality and/or the desire to get back and help

Doku was top today. No ifs , not buts. Next game is Newcastle away - do it again. That’s the job

100%. He does need to be more aware and track back. But - if we got away with it V Liverpool, O’Relley can lock it down and we should have fuck all to worry about Vs the likes of Leeds, West Ham and so on….

It’s 1am, I’m semi pissed but I don’t know what you mean?

Doku played well. Him and Nico have the left hand side locked but Jezza does need to do a bit more defensively

That’s not a massive criticism, just an observation which is blindingly obvious and has been since he’s been here.

If that’s an out of order opinion then, sorry

Do you think Doku is better than Palmer?

I'm not quite sure that stands up to the eye test no matter what stats you pull out.

Thank god football isn't played and judged on numbers alone - that's best left to those that don't really know what they're seeing.

Not saying Doku can't be good either - but he's no where near the level of Palmer overall.
Time to open the Doku vs Palmer debate again.

I thought Matty Cash handled Doku pretty well last week but today will have given his confidence a big boost, and there won’t be many defenders out there that will be able to live with him. He’s so unpredictable and is full of tricks. Providing he stays injury, free he’s going be fun to watch for the rest of the season.

As a few people mentioned, it was one of the best performances by a player in recent City times. Up there with the Hart vs Barcelona or Aguero vs Newcastle and some others.

Pep might of said to Doku “don’t track back” just attack there fullback with energy, what I’m saying is we don’t know, but we should think that maybe was a Pep instruction for him not to do this.

I think he does track back as much as he can. He just lacks the stamina to do it continually. He's been superb of late but is really a 60-70 minute player in end to end games.

He absolutely tormented Bradley, and that was a confident Bradley who locked down Vinicius Jr in midweek.

Top notch performance from him, deserves every plaudits that goes his way.
