11 | Jeremy Doku - 2025/26

Next week there will be leaks of Real Madrid in for him next summer :)
God I hope so. The whole Vinicius experience is just getting so tiring. Pass first guy like Doku that has teamwork installed in his head by Pep could work so much better with Mbappe up top.

Your finishing is alright Doks. More runs kid, just more runs. Like the one leading to the goal against Swansea last week. Or this one:

Do this 5-6 times per match instead of once every 5 matches, and you will be the best winger in the world.

The discussion wasn't who is better at the time because a plain boxscore watching can decide that. The question was did City make a mistake for selling Palmer and buying Doku. No because Doku was always going to be the better player regardless of form or temporary development curve.

And no I'm not telling everyone that Doku was shit - he is my favorite player, duh. I just have a tendency to overanalyze and I believe he can be a BDO contender if he corrects some flaws - mainly his off ball runs and motor.

That was the first goal from Doku since January. It's only natural that many didn't rate him. He has now got a game that will be remembered for his individual performance, hope he can maintain the form.

When was the last individual performance in a big game at that level by either a city or non-city player, Winger or not?

We dont tend to get that in the big games as its usually a team effort. Kdb against wolves and Stoke springs to mind but not the same level of opponent, Yaya at Newcastle and whilst that was crucial, again it wasn't a top of the table clash. Looking away from us, im thinking perhaps hazard, who had a couple or Bale ruining Inter and ending Maicons career.

That is going to be something that's remembered not just by us city fans but as a premier league great performance.

Fantastic today but he must track back some times, Slobarslai (or whatever his name is) kept dropping wide left unmarked meaning Oreilly had to step up to pick him up, leaving Salah alone. This happened quite a few times.
What? Doku is by far our best winger from a defensive stance. When he first arrived he was woeful defensively but he turned himself around from a defensive liability to a fantastic defensive contributor a long time ago. I'd be surprised if there are many players, not even wingers that have won the ball back more than Doku this season

I think a better option would have been to buy Doku and also keep Palmer.

Doku is really taking responsibility this season and he was one of our longest serving players that started against liverpool.

Something I like is he's started to show creativity with his passing when he's on the inside. A couple of times he played a good through ball to get Foden in to the box

Basically, the most involved player in attacking sequences per 90 in the whole league. Ahead of... Nico Gonzalez :) Our RB is 10th...
