Referees' Performances | 2025/26

As well as Murphy and Shrek on MOTD2.
What amazed me about MOTD is that they even sided with Slot to show the similar Bernardo one during the post match interview. Honestly, when has MOTD ever done that, shown a similar 50/50 decision that went the other way at the manager's prompting? Just bizarre

I thought that the rule states that the keeper should not touch the goal frame (or net) during the run up. No retake and no fuss about a clear breach of the rules.

Did they show how the presenters on motd when we had a similar goal allowed and they totally argued the other way?! Because again the wolves manager moans straight after the game about the decision!

I cant see any screens from where I sit. Did they show replays of the penalty incident? They shouldn't have.
it was a tongue in cheek. i was meaning everyone in stadium could see the challenge but somehow he didnt

if it was, i suspect he still wouldnt have given it without VAR

Key difference between Bernardo at wolves and Robertson yesterday is Bernardo both moves out the way and ducks BEFORE stones heads the ball. Robertson ducks as the ball flies past him.
He was also no where near the balls trajectory. If bernado hadn't have ducked it wouldn't have hit him anyway. If robertson hadn't have ducked it would have hit him.

Wasn't an Everton player offside in the build up anyway..so it would have been overturned even if it was classed as deliberate handball
Possibly, I can’t remember to be honest. But my point was that I don’t think there is a referees agenda against City.

I'm not saying there is an agenda as such either but we definitely get reffed differently..we usually get the first yellow card even though the opposition have done more fouls.
We tend to get fouled and refs let it go ( usually as we still retain the ball but often the free kick would be a better option)

Free kick, a better option? You’ve seen our set pieces?

Apologies if posted elswhere, but this just reeks of a Sky Sports employee sticking his substantial nose in to an argument pertaining to one of Sky's favoured teams by putting pressure on the PGMOL. The **** knows exactly what he's doing here, and I bet his employers sanctioned it.

Did Neville actually say that? Seems bold for him

TBH I couldn’t give a fuck.

Liverpool have got away with murder when City have played Liverpool at Anfield and City haven’t got the refereeing decisions City should have got on numerous occasions.

Not to mention the Scouse Rats attacking the City coach.

They can fuck right off!
I second that motion.

Big fan of anyone trying to claim Bernardo & Robertson were remotely doing the same thing.
If Robertson hadn’t ducked the ball would have hit him, he was interfering with play in an offside position.

Therefore correct decision.
