Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

Can you imagine what our players feel reading this sort of speculation, especially the newer recruits?

Youngsters like Cherki, Gonzales, Doku, O’Reilly, who’ve been revelling in the ‘Pep effect’ on their game?

Why now? Why not wait till summer? Unsettling to say the least..

If I were to put myself in Pep's shoes and mind, I would find the new emerging CL fresh managers tactics as a great inspiration and challenge to take on.
Those couple of them who have transferred lesser squads to engines which regulary defeat much bigger clubs and budgets with a feisty pressing style and entertaining games. Pep see this development and probably admire them for that, but he will not roll over and quit at City until he has proven to himself and everybody that he is the better tactician and he can antidote that.
If he quits PL before doing this, he knows he will regret it the rest of his life.
He would then be concidered the ultimate and undisputed PL manager of. all times, putting Ferguson discussions to bed.
 
He's pretty much completed European football.

I reckon the only thing left for him if he wants it, is to challenge at international level.

You may get your wish. Luis Enrique has said he will leave PSG summer 2027, coincidently the same time Peps contract comes to an end.
Personally I think Pep has got this squad playing well & there's more to come. If he wants to sign another extension then I'm happy with that.
 
Watched the start of the "Pep Cam" from the Liverpool game on the City Web Site. I wanted to watch Pep's touchline celebrations but the constant spitting and flicking saliva just put me off, I just couldn't watch it.

The funny thing is… I’ve actually changed my stance on this now lol, Kompany would be my first choice right now. Followed by enrique or Iraola. However I hope pep stays another 10 years.

there are a few more photos of our starting line-ups, I didn’t have time to download them.
As a rule, whenever we went out this season with a back four of O’Reilly, Gvardiol, Dias and Nunes (with Khusanov appearing periodically), we looked impressive. Arsenal are the only team we haven’t beaten in those matches.
