9 | Erling Haaland - 2025/26

Quote from the post match Haaland interview:

"During the match, Haaland got into an argument with Italy's defender Gianluca Mancini. After the match, he explained what happened:

- At 1-1, he started to touch my ass, and I thought, "wtf are you doing?". Then I got a little fired up and said to him, "Thank you so much for the motivation, let's fucking have it," Haaland explained.

The Haaland and City tills will be ringing in the summer for 2026 - I’m very confident that whatever the terms for the 10yr contract were, the exposure and commercial opportunities of the World Cup would have been front and centre

PS - I doubt ICE are looking for tall, white, blonde men so I think he’s in the clear on that front. So maybe he’ll end up being leading scorer because they might deport his rival strikers…..

Funfact: Haaland got standing ovations from Italy home audience for his brace when taken off before full time.
Haaland is admired in Italy. Everyone knows of his close relationship with trainer Mario Pafundi. Pafundi has even joined Norway's training staff to accompany Big Erl when he's on international duty.

Delighted for him that he's gonna get to play at the world cup.

Also glad that he's gonna turn up with a good team to play with. Now and again you get these great players from a country who are surrounded by a load of poor players and they never get to show what they can do on that stage but he's got a pretty good team there

I don't think anyone's expecting them to win it but nobody will be looking forward to playing them and him either.

55 goals in 48 for Norway. Ludicrous.

It only proves his greatness

No matter the league or competition, no matter the team around him, club or country, his goalscoring record is frightening.

It also makes a mockery of the narrative that teams have carried him, nonsense that is drummed up by fartknockers in the media, when his scoring record is the common consistent thread, no matter where he is.

What a player

He is going back to the days of puskas and de stefano in just scoring for fun . Gonna break every record and will piss balon dor at this rate
