Not in the slightest. I asked said United fan (who was working as a youth coach and hence decked out in full City tracksuit) if it made him uncomfortable. "it's a job" was his reply, which was fair enough.

I've got some! It's in the kitchen cupboard. I used to take a flask of it to the women's games 'cos those kiosks stopped selling it. After a reply to "How could we make your matchday experience better?" they started selling it again!!

Not going to watch the women’s team would have made the experience immeasurably better.

I once drove up from Woking to Maine Road for an afternoon appointment to demonstrate and hopefully sell them a FM software system. As I remember the appointment was with the Stadium Manager. After arriving and waiting in Reception for about 20 minutes some dogsbody came out and told me Mr X sends his apologies but he bought a software package the other day. It was a long, expletive ridden drive back down to Woking.

I bought 150 cups off Amazon and took one to the match and asked them to put hot water in them. Three games later, they re-instated it. Cost was about a quarter of the Stadium price.

Yeah, yer can get ten cups in a packet for next to nowt at a fair number of retailers. I got my last lot from B&M.

No, but I heard that the club doesn't like to hire fans as it thinks it could cloud your judgement (and they need you to make the correct decision, not what you think as a fan). I also understand this is a not uncommon position amongst many clubs.

They clearly like to hire rags as barmen tho!! ;-)

I worked on the YTS there with the groundsman for a while (can't remember his name, lovely guy). I got to have a cup of tea and a chat with Swales in his office. He came across as a lovely gent. Didn't stop me demonstrating outside the ground to get rid of the **** on more than one occasion. Happy days.
