11 | Jeremy Doku - 2025/26

This is much more illustrative. In the post match interview he was pissed off "people say we can't win without Lukaku, KDB and Courtois but if we cannot win a match like this without them then we shouldn't be at the world cup". He includes himself in those at fault, but he was let down by his teammates yesterday honestly.

He was dominant, but then again it was Kazakhstan so its expected. Bit of a weird surface that hampered movement, but he was actually making off ball run after run in the second half. Surprised me a lot.

Doku's problem was always against the "middle" teams. The small ones he disposes of without breaking a sweat. For the big ones hes always super motivated and it gives him the extra edge, we saw that against Liverpool, Arsenal, United. Its the Crystal Palaces, Evertons and Newcastles that he struggles against because they are elite but don't inspire him to put 110 percent.

The Belgian coach needs to do the right thing and sub him, the game is as good as won...we need him rested for Saturday.
Absolutely but I've never fancied Rudy Garcia as a manager and don't trust him to do the right thing. Pep should be ringing him up during halftime, lol...

Opposition are non opposition but Great for his confidence nonetheless, i'll be disappointed if hes not bagging at newcastle now too, regular output is what we need.

Consistency has been an issue for Doku at City, this season there is a definite improvement in this area. I expect Newcastle will be doubling up on him Saturday, but on current form Doku won't be phased.

He was always a decent goal scorer.

But he 1) barely took any shots and 2) was always so far away from goal.

The one simple change of him playing more narrow, which Belgium also seem to be doing, massively improves both aspects.
