Won’t make us feel better! Courtesy of Futoffside on X.
It's offside, it was offside then, it was offside in the replays, offside in the freeze frame, it was offside when the cartoon appeared, and it's still offside now, the only place it wasn't offside was in the var room, but it took them 3 minutes to make up a picture they could laugh at.

I hope City are looking at these images and making more than a mental note of how poor it is.

I thought it was a clear offside from the TV stills, VAR seems to have doctored it.

Bravo

The new signings just haven't hit the ground running which you have to do now. Reijnders has gone missing after his brilliant debut, Marmoush has gone missing full stop, Nico ok in patches, Cherki the same. Khusanov out of favour and injured. Hopefully in time they can become key players but we need to see so much more from them
And as a consequence it will be extremely difficult to mount any type of challenge with those players showing such indifferent form.

Still annoyed by the refereeing yesterday, but in the cold light of day I'm not too down about the result. Always felt like it was going to be a tough test, and it's a reminder that we're still very much a work in progress. Game could have gone either way really, but they took more of their chances.

Glad we've got another game so quickly to put the result behind us. Got a run of winnable games coming up, so hopefully we can kick on. Getting a fully fit Rodri back in the coming weeks would be a huge plus.
Rodri aside, that's possibly our best 11.
My major concern is our over reliance on Doku. If he doesn't play well, we don't.

I wonder what the average time has been to decide an offside goal for us v against us and how that sits with the average for the rest of the PL, the more time they take the more you think what's been cooked up!

After the Liverpool goal was disallowed 2 weeks ago and the aftermath with the amount of media hype about Liverpool being cheated, Manchester City was getting nothing yesterday, PGMOL had to please Liverpool by punishing Manchester City and boy did they go to work on us yesterday.

3 strong calls for pen's
clear offside goal being allowed
Newcastle players being allowed to kick us off the park

Yes, Manchester City's finishing was poor and our keeper had to make 3 good saves, but their winning goal should have been offside, The referee was shocking and the match officials even worse ? How on earth can a computer picture be photoshopped and allowed to stand

But worst still is that Micah Richards on Skysports ? Boy that lad would sell his own mother to collect a quick buck
talk about arse licking ? That lad was a exCity player and we gave him his big break through ? he must hate Manchester City with a passion

Think we all agree that it’s offside, but don’t think the time it took to make the decision is that bad. They looked at 2 potential offsides in the build up as well as two potential fouls in the APP.

Do we know if Dias has abnormally long armpits? Maybe that’s why it was onside…

The officiating was an absolute fucking disgrace!!!

One clear pen, raised left hand in unnatural position. Foden's foot stamped on a fraction before he struck the ball, possible pen.

Linesman should have flagged before they scored second as they were at least 6" offside. Both replays afterwards showed it was clearly offside. 5 mins later they simulated it with AI technology to try and justify it wasn't a pen which was absolute contrived bollocks.

The PL want Arse n' hole to win the league this season because they hate us with a passion!

VAR is bent beyond belief and it has cost us yet again!

Fuming! : (
How have you copied my post before I have even written it?

Richard’s is an Arsenal supporter.

Him & Lee Dixon both hate us for personal reasons, some of the others because they were weaned as fans of the redshirt cartel but all are happy to be rewarded as a sewer pipe for propaganda by their client media.

We didn't deserve 3 points, because our finishing was awful, not sure Newcastle did either, they had better chances, don't remember Pope making a save, as we kept putting it high or wide, or both, and Don made 3 saves from memory, but we were certainly robbed of a point by var, I'm convinced of that.

Doesn't really matter though , does it ?

If reckless challenges aren't gonna be pulled up in the penalty afea, or anywhere else for that matter, then we might as well all give up and go home, Foden was taken out completely ..... I doubt if you'd find many Newcastle fans who, if they were completely honest, didn't think that was a penalty.

A few seasons ago away to Arsenal Ederson fouled Nketiah after he shot wide but Arsenal were awarded a penalty. It was the right call but I remember thinking we won’t see it very often and we won’t be the beneficiaries of any decision like that. Seems to me that’s exactly what happened yesterday but no foul this time.

Chances not taken. Penalties not given. Newcastle pressed harder than City. Is it legal for a defender to grab Erlings chest at City corners?
No but it is ok to rugby tackle him around the waist as is whathappened in the 1st half when Haaland was about to break and for the offending player to not get carded..

A truly baffling decision and it would not surprise me after the week long dipperfest of playing the victims that we were never going to get anything yesterday. See penalty.See offside goal.

That game was crying out for Rodri yesterday who would have took the sting out of it and calmed it down.
We needed pragmatism when we got level but fell to a sucker punch. No complaints about losing as it could easily have gone our way had we been more clinical. People also need to remember they missed 3 great chances. Woltamende header..Barnes open net and 1st minute when we carelessly gave the ball away.
We move on. We simply need Rodri back even for half a game weekly.
Shoot a little but more aswell..
