With this new system it feels ready-made for him and Reijnders to play to the best of their abilities.

Marmoush would be a great striker off Haaland's shoulder, with Reijnders in the #10 and whoever out of Cherki/Doku/Foden out on the right. Nico and Bernardo (or whoever) behind them, then the usual back four with the full-backs supplying the width.

No idea why we can't try this against Leverkusen

He’s not in the starting line up just because of what he’s previously achieved though. He’s one of our best players and in a number of games this season he’s been pretty good.

What they earn is pretty irrelevant now. I’ll stop derailing the thread now!

Same as the team sadly, we haven't got the midfield strength. If we did have a big powerful midfield, he could play up alongside Harland.

I can’t be the only one that misses him.

He did so well last season barely played this season.

I know injures and Doku’s form but he looks tired he plays every minute for his country too.

I think Marmoush would excel in this narrow new role for the wingers. Yes he can’t dribble and be great in tight spaces but I still think he can be useful. Hopefully this run of easier games we will see the best of him. Maybe Reinjders can come to life who knows there’s always one player that drags us through this crazy schedule during December I remember Sterling being that guy sometimes. If we have any chance we have to be perfect for quite some games 10 minimum.

We’re gonna need everyone. Even Savio and Bobb to pull up their weight it can’t always be on Haaland Foden Doku.

Ive come to the conclusion that obe of Cherki and Doku have to start on the bench. We need to be able to being on "Bus parking" busters off the bench. And those 2 are it on the team. Maybe Bobb might also become that eventually .

But for now, 1 of them potentially comig off the bench is necessary.

Bringing on Marmoush and Cherki or Marmoush and Doku to chase a game is great planning. Bringing on Bernardo, Savihno or Tijanni doesn't have the same urgency or improve our chances at breaking down the opposition.

Better to start out with either Savio or Bobb with one of Doku/Cherki then bring Doku/Cherki on with Marmoush to chase. Then flip and start Marmoush and one of them in the next game. That way you always have a game changer coming off the bench

I've been thinking the same but discarded the idea because I don't think either Doku or Cherki would be happy with the role. Also, I think with Savio or Bobb, there would be a higher chance we'd be losing before they got on.

The long-term answer, of course, is to have more gsme-changers in the squad.

Well, it’s not a tricky one to figure out which one should be on the bench whilst he adjusts to the league. Understandable but Cherki has struggled big time against 3 physical sides in Spurs, Liverpool and Newcastle. He should have been subbed at h/t on Saturday to try and tighten things up and leave us less open.

Doku continues to be our most dangerous player and should have had 3 assists on Saturday. Leave him to it as his confidence grows whilst in the form of his life.

Can’t argue with that. There’s a very good player in him, you can see that with some of his goals he’s scored for us. Whether he stays as a bit-part player I’m not sure.

He's not good enough,

This has been the story with him since he got here: solid finisher, but offers little to nothing else, loses the ball too easily, his football IQ is very "meh".

We need goals and fast, Omar is not the solution, I think he will still have a market, I think you cut your losses in January and move on.
