It’s impossible to play a two-striker system with Haaland in the team. He exclusively occupies the central areas. Álvarez and Palmer have both improved since leaving City. Pep was stifling their creativity; both of them are now specialist free-kick/penalty takers for their teamsHe doesn't really suit Pep's style. Alvarez played that role better.
Marmoush needs to play as a second striker behind Haaland.
Either pep has told them to not play the risky pass or the players lack all imagination and creativity. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a blend of both.
Tbf most of those passes into his movement would be spotted and played on a Sunday morning by Jeff from the Dog and Duck. City players are far too clever for that shit.Either pep has told them to not play the risky pass or the players lack all imagination and creativity. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a blend of both.
He did a pretty good job of it before his injury? How have his weeks out and lack of chances in the first team since changed his ability?Looks the type of player that probably found his confidence and level at Frankfurt where he can play every week fighting for Europa Leagues and going for top 4 in Germany, and knowing that if he has a bad game the scrutiny isn't greatly over the top.
I don't think he is technically good enough to play as one of the 3 behind Haaland, and he isn't the type of player that can come in and out of the team to replace Haaland when needed.
He will 100% push for a move in the summer if it carries on I reckon.
That second striker role is probably the hardest position to fill at City, because you won't play every week because of Haaland, but you need to be good enough to get 15-20 a season in all competitions when called upon.
This is what I don't get.He did a pretty good job of it before his injury? How have his weeks out and lack of chances in the first team since changed his ability?
Should be ok because atm without big erl we are not good enough for europa . Don’t think people realise the problems we have and pep as now gotta start sorting this mess out as he gets the plaudits for when we win so he needs to taken into account when it’s wrong .Looks the type of player that probably found his confidence and level at Frankfurt where he can play every week fighting for Europa Leagues and going for top 4 in Germany, and knowing that if he has a bad game the scrutiny isn't greatly over the top.
