it also means that whoever identifed RAN as a potential left back for us is at present being shown to be drastically wrong. If the medical department can find a spine for RAN we might be ok however. The guy is defenislvey about as strong as Mendy was

I don't think RAN is a bad player to be fair but at the moment NOR has the shirt and should keep it..he's been really good defensively and is a threat going forward.

No it doesn't, it says it all about how well NOR has taken his chance when Alt-Nouri got injured. That he now finds himself struggling to get in the side is a bit of a vicious circle

Really strange...he chose a sideways pass so that suggests to me he is lacking in confidence. Could the crowd try to gee him up with a confidence boosting song? He definately has the ability but for one reason or another is not showing it in game moments.

My mate who goes to Wolves says he is a poor fullback but a great wing back said this in the summer

I hate the billy big bollocks, we're going to smash them Haaland hat-trick before a ball is kicked

Look, City and Pep never underestimate any teams we face until midweek in the Champions League with changing 10 players against a very good Bayer Leverkusen team and look what happened. Resting players is also risky, it could be we will find it hard to find our game and rhythm and losing the last Premier League game to Newcastle could be added pressure to get the 3 points.

It's now a very big game and the fans will demand nothing more than a win after the crazy midweek shambles

Leeds, like many modern teams, are well drilled in defensive shape. Not bad. But they're desperately missing goals up top.

I can't see past Haaland, Doku, Foden and Cherki as a front 4, and hopefully Bernie filling in gaps along with Nico.

I am very much hoping for a win.

OK but have you watched him when he has actually got on the pitch.....his performances havent done him any favours and they defensively they stink .....yes he has technical abilty but have we not learnt that you also need to actually be able to defend and at least have the willingness to defend....
Hopefulyl it is as you say down to the injury but his displays have been one of the worst ive seen in a while
 
Our 2 fullbacks might now be exactly what we need in midfield. Unfortunately, they're also needed at fullback as nobody else can be trusted there.

Give Ake a game in a proper back line, Gvardiol needs a bit of a rest and it shouldn't be an issue for him to slot in.

Savinho has done absolutely nothing to justify his place but we need him/Bobb to find some form and confidence from somewhere. if the rest of the team perform as they should, we can maybe afford to carry a passenger or two in this and if they can bag a goal or assist from somewhere it might get them going so I'd throw one of them into the lineup.

There is also not much in terms of alternatives, marmoush can't play there, cherki hasnt even bothered to get a sweat on yet so may aswell.

We need to go strong tomorrow. After two bad results we need a win, ideally convincingly but any sort of win.

We started well last Saturday but were a little lightweight in midfield. We needed to take our chances. In the first half Saturday and last half hour on Tuesday we created lots but didn’t convert any.

We are heavily reliant on Haaland but we desperately need others to step up. I do wonder if the 100th goal is weighing on Erling a little as he didn’t take 2 presentable chances on Saturday. Need to get more goals from Foden, Cherki, Doku and set pieces.

Leeds are in poor form but tested Villa last Sunday. Farke is on the brink so tomorrow is a big match for them.

We have enough to win comfortably tomorrow but we have to be clinical.
