I don’t know if we’re going to do any business in January but short term we’re crying out for a right back, centre midfielder and a winger.

Slightly longer term we will probably need to replace Bernardo, Kovacic and Ake this summer. There’s also uncertainty about Rodri, if he doesn’t sign an extension by the summer I think we’ll try to move him on.

Good list and the only thing I'd add is another 6 or 8. Kovacic and Bernardo are gone after this season and we don't know what the future holds for Rodri and we already have no depth there to begin with.

Id say Anderson, Nico and Rodri is adequate. Foden can always drop deep and hopefully there may be a youngster like a lavia that could step up.

The big question mark for me is how many minutes Rodri can realistically handle this season. I don't think he'll be fit enough to consistently rotate at DM with Gonzalez until late winter/early spring and Gonzalez is going to need resting at some point during this congested fixture period. If we can to playing in a double pivot with Gonzalez, Rodri and Anderson then we should be able to manage minutes between the three of them. Whether we're good with dropping one of the more advanced midfielders to make that work is another thing.

Back 4, absolutely shite. A club our size should not have 2 midfielders playing out of position at fullback. Dias & Gvardiol not playing very well maybe the fullbacks don't help them.

Midfielders first, then address the right side of the pitch. Gonzalez is being run into the ground and who the hell knows when Rodri or Kovacic are going to be fit enough to be relied on.

I'd offer them good money, and Savinho, that is if they still want him, for van de ven. He's a Rolls-Royce of a player. Wouldn't mind Marc Guehi as well in January, he's going to be pretty cheap being out of contact in the summer.

That would be great, but Olise is probably not going anywhere and I'd prefer Anderson to Wharton. Heck, let's just buy both of them!

We can't lose too many title winning players, so I think stones have to stay. Too many of our players haven't won a title yet. If bernardo, ake and stones leaves that leaves us only haaland, Dias and a v few others with title winning experience. Thats too few.
But I like Van de ven. V fast and a good defender. I don't know about his ball playing skills though.

I feel like if we make that amount of changes again we’ll end up with another transition season.

I actually think Conor Gallagher would be a fantastic guy to get in January. Groan all you want, we need a dog in that midfield who will run all day and provide a platform for our creative players. Someone we can throw in there and fight when teams do their second half subs and up the physicality and we start floundering.

He's homegrown and available, patch up the squad with him in January then go for a marquee signing in the Summer.
