Seat Counters 25/26

All Brentford Lv 3 taken off sale. Empty seats at home. Ticket policy and pissing off core fans coming home to roost.
I wonder if this means they'll be moving people down from Level 3, surely that's more faff than it's worth.

Maybe they just want to sell the bottom levels first so it looks good for the cameras.

It’s clear as anything we are struggling to sell out regularly now. The club are giving blocks/ tickets away to random schools as well.

The most successful period ever and we’ve somehow managed to alienate our core fanbase. I’m not enjoying the experience at the moment myself, as I don’t feel like I’m at a city match at times

I’m not even sure how accurate the numbers above are anyway, without amount of tickets permanently greyed out as well

It’s a fucking shit show mate.

15 years of unrivalled success in the PL and the club is giving blocks of tickets away to schools, and giving their ticketing touting partners 100’s of tickets they can’t sell, leaving 100’s of empty seats all over the ground.

Whilst making it harder and harder for genuine City fans to buy match tickets due to the new and draconian ticket sale and ticket transfer criteria and regulations that have been introduced and signed off by the directors.

I don’t think the support is there anyway, we’re at our peak and that’s fine. 60k for the big games, 50 to 55k for most dropping to mid-40s for the lesser games, like Brentford in the League Cup on a wet December night.

Just close CB3 and EL3 if needed and fill the rest. Better than selling them to neutrals (closet away fans) and kids who want to play with the light on their phones.

People are obsessed with selling out.

Of course the support is there.

There’s huge numbers of city fans who have been priced out or stopped attending games. Selling out the ground is part of that discussion.

I agree many have got out of the habit and pricing has got too high but they’ve reduced them this year and if they’re not coming to see us in a QF at £25 I don’t know what price they’re expecting.

With due respect, and I consider myself a genuine City fan I don't fid it difficult to buy a Ticket. True I don't transfer my tickets.
I can even get a call back service.

And while many on bluemoon moan about away fans in the home end, the club cannot open ticket sales to just anyone, that wouldn't do. Any "Core" supporter could have bought a ticket for Leeds, and can for Sunderland if they want to.

Many would be happier with a 40,000 stadium, no tourists, no corporate, no Spanish directors, facilities as they were at Maine Road, a shit team, 2/3 buses from Aytoun Street, No Europe, no Night matches, and definitely no Hotel, because an away fan may book a room.
Rant over-:)

Agree with many of your comments about ticket transfer, 10 game mimimum, tout sites, away fans in home end, City having fucked off so many supporters with all the ticket and pricing fiascos etc etc.

However, any non-ST holder who pays for a matchday membership ( yes I know annual membership £35 is hated) it hasn't been as easy for a long time as it is now to buy tickets for most Premier League games AND at heavily discounted prices compared to last season. I posted the following on another thread earlier and think it is a good ticketing story amongst all the shit.

Today a matchday member could go on line and buy tickets for any of the forthcoming available games with starting prices after discount in the range £30 to £38. In most cases you can get 2 seats or more sitting togther (not necessarily at those cheapest prices) if that a priority because lots of availability.

Available
Sunderland
West Ham
Brighton
Wolves
Fulham
Forest
Palace
Brentford

Not Available
Chelsea
Newcastle
Arsenal
Villa (last game of season)

My daughter and family let matchday membership lapse due cost of travel (from down south) and match day ticket prices. The last 2 games they attended were Everton on boxing day and the Bournemouth last season. The Bournemouth prices were stupid and that finished them but the new matchday ticket prices are great relative to what they were last season and they've just lucked in with the 50% black friday membership deal.

They return back to Manchester permanently in 2 weeks and at least 2 from her family intend going to all of the games from West Ham onwards. They might struggle to get tickets for Arsenal or Villa (if we are going for the league) but Chelsea and Newcastle should be ok from 3 weeks before and they will be checking daily to try and get sorted.

Amongst all the negative stuff about ticketing she is buzzing because the ticket prices are so low relative to last season. Me and the rest of my family are with STs in CB L3 so she will mainly pay a bit more than the cheapest seats quoted above to be close to us but about £20 less per ticket than she paid for Bournemouth and Everton last season.

As an aside 1894 and the rest are to be praised for the protests and the ST freeze. As for the reduction in matchday ticket prices, it's my view the club would have reduced them anyway this season. It's simple supply and demand because we can't sell out most league games where previously in 2023 it was a different kettle of fish. They are doubly fucked for next season with the increased capacity.

Pretty sure it's the latter and Level 3 will become available for sale again if Levels 1 and 2 sell out.

Updated count for Brentford:

Level 2 - 2734
Level 1 - 2729

Over 900 sold in those 2 tiers since your last count on Monday

There an argument on here regularly that the club is too expensive and has priced out core support. However we have a league cup QF coming up with prices set at £25 quid , if that isn't low enough what are people actually expecting prices to be set at to bring these people back?

For many its not just a pricing issue now its a disconnect with City down to the direction our Execs have decided to go. I know a number of life long City fans who have held season tickets since way before the successful era are now giving those tickets up even though they can afford them.
