City fan suffers broken leg after being attacked at Leeds game

I got spat at by home fans going into Elland Road as a 20 year old girl

We had the last laugh as we won …1995 I think, possibly a Gerry Creany header 0-1 win
Brought a smile to my face. I was there.
Also there when Wanchope was outstanding
And when Richard Edgehill was absolutely brilliant at full back ..before doing his knee and stretchered off ....sad.

I am still trying to work out why the club put out that garbled statement exonerating leeds fans when nobody, including them, had a clue what had happened? Just what the fuck is our club doing, shit on us at every opportunity. By saying leeds fans weren’t involved they basically said it was Blue on Blue. Cunts

Must've been something the stewards said most aren't exactly blue are they?

Thanks Damocles. Yes I changed my post because it was unfair on Danny Wilson, whose done good things for some Blues. I might have said Soriano if I thought he read this forum.

I’ve also changed what I wrote a bit because the part of proceedings that most annoyed me was hearing the Leeds fans were asked to leave the stand only to pitch up in 93:20. My reference to “stabbed in the back” was about that but it was unclear.

I would like as many Blues as possible to be there to cheer the lads on against Galatassary. The more seats we fill, the fewer the number of away fans there will and yes there will still be plenty in hospitality etc.

For info, the Blue has a broken tibia, below his knee.
Hopefully he makes the club fully accountable…..

The idea that away fans being able to buy tickets in the home end is somehow new - it’s been a thing since Billy Meredith gave spares to both sides of the Manchester divide. Always happened, always will. The difference here was an away fan(s) acting Billy Big Bollocks and not being turfed out.
Should be zero tolerance. I’ve sat in several home ends as couldn’t get ticket in away end. Sat in hands, kept head down and fucked off sharpish before the end.
City’s statement was shite but let’s not blind ourselves to the reality - there will always be away fans in the home end.
There always were. It’s how we (City) steward it that needs sorting. First sign of being an away fan - you’re out.

The club should be putting out another statement to apologise and correct their mistake unless they think a broken leg isn't serious

As far as the club is concerned, a broken leg is only serious when the appendage in question belongs to a player.

"A supporter with a broken leg..? Take his season card off him if he hasn't listed his seat on the ticket exchange"

I'm just surprised the club didn't organise a whip round in the boardroom for the scouse fan that lost his cup of coins.

At this point they might as well make a full section an official neutral end. Stick all of the third party site reseller tickets in the third tier of the East Stand (sorry any regulars) and leave the rest of the ground to the home fans.

It’s embarrassing I’m even typing this but I’d rather that than what’s going on at the moment. Unfortunately, for whatever reason the club seem to be happy to alienate and slowly chip away at our core support. Going to home games is becoming a chore.

It’s happened slowly over a number of years but they couldn’t give a toss about the regular match goer who isn’t interested in spending £100s at each game. It’s not going to get any better when we have another 8000 tickets to shift and more hospitality sections.
Same thought came to mind. They'd probably be happier together as well. Can set up their own barber shop and everything.

Only thing is you'd have hoardes of scousers, etc above our heads and we saw what happened last time.

It’s called damage limitation.

But with the people running City, it always back fires, because they don’t tell the truth and lie on purpose.

We had a local school party in block 308 right behind us and they never stopped chanting for City and screaming when we attacked. It was a pain in the arse but still nice to see. Some of these kids will become lifelong City fans. Give them a break.
They won’t, because they will not be able to get a ST
