City feel like 03-06 United. As in still in the top 3, but not good enough to win the league. It's a transitional period. But unlike City, the likes of Rooney and Ronaldo were 18-21 during that spell. Most of the City lads are 25+. Nico is the only real youngster in the starting XI.
For me, City need their own Gabriel/Saliba/van Dijk (prime). An athletic, tall, commanding and composed CB. Dias is a good player. But he'd really benefit from that profile next to him. Or in the long term, Gvardiol needs that profile next to him. Reis might develop into a top CB.
Nunes is fine as a squad player. A better overall RB is probably needed, to be honest.
If Rodri isn't going to get back to his best, another DM/CM to share minutes with Nico González needs to be brought in.
Doku finally seems to be locking down the LW spot. With Bobb not really stepping up since his injury and Savinho not rated by most City fans, a RW needs to be brought in as well.
So... CB, DM/CM, RW. And maybe a more natural backup ST for Haaland. City still have a chance this season. But I do think that it's probably Arsenal's time.
