With regard to buying a ticket, it's not as simple as you suggest....it used to be, but not anymore.
For instance Newcastle on 21st February is "sold out". There is availability for Wolves and Brighton but you can't get 2 or 3 together.
Do we seriously believe there won't be bunches of empties for these games, not solely explained by season ticket exchanges, and Flexi returns?
You cannot sell hospitality packages if there are bunches of tickets available to buy at reasonable prices, you need the myth of "exclusivity", hard to get elsewhere tickets. It's that simple. There are thousands of seats unsold for those games, but it doesn't pay to sell them to fans.

@give it to gordon, he has an almost identical buying experience to me, it has continually deteriorated to the point of simply not being worth the hassle....and then you get out of the habit and more used to the TV experience.
I used to coordinate 5 memberships and buy for a bunch of us to sit together, was easy, but became impossible even with years of loyalty and purchase history. Had to spend a day in July with multiple devices scrambling for tickets, buying seating close enough to each other and then trying to sit beside on the day, and seething when I see bunches of empty seats together elsewhere on matchday. No thanks.
