Question Time

Didn’t watch it, personally. I bet it was a right laugh.

Lots of talking over each other. Yusuf suggested that the audience was rigged because his talking points didn't seem to land as much as he hoped. At one point told a mild mannnered old bloke in the audience that had he 'been paying attention' he would have understood what Reform policy was, did so in a tone that might get you a slap down the pub. It was all a bit odd.

When asked probing questions, Reform always go ‘Tin Foil Hat’, leading to angry outbursts. Totally understandable that Yusuf has a pop, even he doesn’t believe what he says and it’s hard to keep up the act.

Can someone clarify something for me which of the main parties would actually allow anyone to come here as a refugee ? I don’t remember any actually say they wouldn’t allow anyone I assume Reform wouldn’t

The Conservatives seem to want everyone to go back to where they come from or a third country.

labour seem to want to stop the only real route here (the boats ) they do say they will open safe and legal routes but doesn’t seem like it will ever happen.

Yusuf is a malign ****. Horrible human being.

the format just doesn't work, they get at best about a minute to talk, they have to cram in so many points at fast pace before others on the panellist start jumping in and Fiona Bruce repeating 'ok,ok, you've made your point' - I would cut it down to 3 people max.

Would that be the girlfriend who was a waitress and managed to save up £800,000 to buy a house in the UK with cash and nobody (including the right wing press ) seem bothered.

that girlfriend?

My sister and her husband bought a house in 1984. Sadly his grandma had died but left a large estate so he could pay cash for 80% of the cost of the house (total would have been @£40k) - the hoops he had to jump through to prove that cash was "clean" 40 years ago was ridiculous ............ how she was able to pay £800k for a house in cash in this day and age baffles me.

If Reform win the next election, that is precisely the mindset that will enable it.
Good grief. As opposition to immigration is often highest in 97% white British towns, and it barely registered as an important issue pre the referendum, it must be the media pushing it as an issue. As Polanski said, where's the special themed QT on the cost of living, or the environment, or taxing the rich?

All your response has served to do is underline my point.

Sadly the majority of the UK population prefers punching down.

It's not a majority. It just gets more attention. Most people would not know there was a problem unless they were told.

You produce racist propaganda and then pretend the anxiety you stir up is evidence of a problem that didn't exist before you produced the racist propaganda.

Did anyone know Somalis in Minnesota were a problem until Trump made it a problem?
