If the USA effectively withdraws from NATO, aren't we left with a European Army?
ERR no ... we aren't in Europe ... we withdrew in 2016

I'm sure if we have Nepalese in the European army we could have some Canadians.Canada isn’t in Europe.

We are in Europe ;)
I don’t think the ‘great unwashed’ are going to have very much choice in the matter. We are at war with Russia and it’s not going to go away just by people wishing it so.But that would mean that we would have to co operate with the Eu
Standardised ammunition & weapons , maybe a ''common'' uniform , obeying orders from '' foreigners'' ... the fear of a joint European Army was cited as one of the main reasons we voted for Brexit (despite the fact we held a veto )
The great unwashed won't go for it (they're too busy pointing at boats )

That's what I meant! Without the USA in NATO that's the defence pact we're left with.I was referring to the UK being part of continental Europe. Pedantic? A little :)
I would have no qualms with a defence pact akin to NATO but suspect we will end up with close to that anyway (would love Japan, Canada, Australia, NZ and other like minded countries to be involved as well). The problem I would see with an EU army is the ability of veto would be high on the list - imagine the chances of Hungry approving a European army to go to war with Russia would be 0!!!
He does love a vodka, it's all falling into place.I'm not having that mate. Talking like that anyone might think he had friends with connections to Russia. That can't be right. Can it?
It would have to not be under the auspices of the EU so the likes of Hungary and Slovakia could be fucked off.I was referring to the UK being part of continental Europe. Pedantic? A little :)

I'd have left Fareham too having Braverman as my MP. We used to live near Fareham, I would never have described it as "tranquil".anybody else remember when Poles undercutting UK wages were why we had to go through with Brexit? Poland remains in the EU and as our prospects fall they are off home and the Mail - a great Brexit advocate - thinks its bad. Peak fucking Brexit satire - this is not the product of the last few months not that the Mail will say that

The great exodus: How Poles are ditching UK for their booming homeland
New statistics reveal that while 7,000 Poles arrived in the year ending last June, 25,000 returned home: a net outflow of 18,000. The UK's total Polish population has shrunk to 750,000.www.dailymail.co.uk

It's all good. The supply of plumbers and the like will be significantly reduced. That means supply and demand can kick in properly. So an increase in charges and an increase in waiting time to get the work done. I'm sure that's what the Brexit Gammonati voted for :-(Brexit eh? Simple causation for simple folk.

First time in over 30 years: More Poles returning to Poland from Germany than migrating the other way
For the first time in over 30 years, more Poles are moving back to Poland from Germany than migrating the other way, with 2024 recording a net decrease of 11,239 Polish migrants in Germany. Strong economic growth (around five percent annually since 2015), lower taxes and more efficient...www.newstarget.com

More residents of the UK could become plumbers i guess, maybe even companies like British Gas could take on more apprenticeships. I think the main problem with Poland, from news stories ive seen, is its a much better place to live nowadays, no idea of the truth in that though not living there or visited. It's all good.
