F1 2025 Season

I noticed that. And his cringe down ‘world champion hotline’, followed by interrupting Oscar and his engineer.

The forced ‘care’ over the last few weeks he has shown to Oscar is weird behaviour.
Oh give over ffs.

He’s a 50 odd year old American bloke. Of course his banter is a bit cheesy, especially when he’s giddy as fuck and in the moment.

And his care for the whole team including both drivers is genuine.

The bloke is responsible for turning round a team that was literally months from bankruptcy to winning back to back constructors titles and a drivers championship.

He is our Txiki and Stella is our Pep!

I think Norris intentionally didn't fight that. He knows 3rd is enough.
Come on Alonso, keep Leclerc busy!
And that is the difference. If Verstappen was leading the Championship, he would defo have tried to take his rivals out. Just like Prost did to Senna, Schumacher did to Hill and Hamilton did to Verstappen at Silverstone and did the same to his own team mate Rosberg. You have to be a mad **** to crash into someone at 200mph to win! Norris took his chances and played it safe!

Lando hasn't got it in him to go through the stress of this season again! Verstappen & Piastri will be more hungry than ever next season, and will be after revenge! Norris wont want to get involved IMO

I'd love to see Norris win the title. A British driver, and he doesn't come across as as arrogant a twat as MV. Has to be said, though; if Verstappen does win it, no one can argue that he wouldn't have deserved it, coming from as far back in the standings as he was. It'd be a remarkable achievement.
I'm no Verstappen fan by any means, but for him to miss out by 2 points after being 100 point behind half way through the season, with no help from a team mate, and Red Bull management being in turmoil is nothing more than remarkable! Norris has won it by the skin of his teeth and he knows it!

This season, Verstappen has shown that he can do it in a lesser car, and can possibly win 8!

Moved in on his team mates girlfriend. A cunts trick from a ****.
Like father, like son.

Nah, got lots of hate from the drivers community after that.
You're clearly a fanboy, it's OK to disagree.
How do you possibly know what the millionaire F1 drivers (who mostly live in Monaco) think about Max Verstappen's love life?

Not a single driver has ever mentioned Verstappen's relationship once on the the Netflix Documentary, It has also not been in the media. All the drivers speak very highly of Verstappen! (some even play paddle and go on holiday with him)!

Unless your Martin Brundell or Crofty, I struggle to see how you can possibly know about the F1 drivers relationships/gossip, while Netflix who pay millions and following them all over the world for 9 months, know fuck all about it?

There was plenty of media coverage about it at the time and quotes from Kvyat.

I absolutely hate Verstappen but none of this is true.

Verstappen and Kvyat were never teammates.

Kvyat and Piquet had broken up long before she took up with Max.

No one in F1 has ever had anything bad to say about the situation - if anything the fact he's obviously a doting dad to Penelope is his one redeeming feature. Kelly/Max/Kvyat all seem to get along fine.

I think this is less relevant in the budget cap era. Mercedes had all the time in the world to prepare for 2021 and it got them nowhere.
That has literally nothing to do with the subject and fact that Max’s car kept getting better all season whereas the McLaren stayed still for half a season.

I think the last team to dominate a constructors championship in the year before a reg change taking absolutely zero advantage from switching to developing the new car early is entirely relevant to whether the team that dominated this constructors championship will derive any meaningful advantage from switching to new car development a few weeks early.

Spending millions to develop a car that will be scrapped at the end of the season entirely, in the vain hope of securing a Drivers Championship.

Big Brain energy from Red Bleh! :D

Aero isn’t Mercedes’ strong point and they used their power unit in the hybrid era to out grunt the opposition. This is why they’ve struggled in the ground effect era, the Venturi tunnels are being ditched in 2026 and there is a more simpler power unit is being brought in with the PU being removed. There’s talk this could suit Mercedes, however with active aero being brought in as well this will suit Rebull. Fun and games when we see those new cars in February.

Which is absolutely not what we’re talking about so once again, eh.

We WERE talking about Max closing the gap and doing better in the second half of the season BECAUSE McLaren stopped doing upgrades to the car whereas Red Bull kept improving theirs.

Only race I've watched this season, in fact it's been a few years no drama and the Dutch cheat didn't win, its all good.

Well done Norris.

How can you know that there has been no drama if you have not been watching for a few years?

He had the most to lose yesterday on the opening laps so he was always going to tip toe round in the early stages and focus on finishing 3rd. The jeopardy yesterday was passing cars to get back into 3rd after the pit stops where he pulled off some ballsy overtakes and Tsunoda nearly taking him out dangerously weaving.

Verstappen has been really impressive dragging the season back to the points it ended at. Redbull kept developing the car when McLaren had switched all their focus onto next years regulation changes.

The driver who should be most disappointed is Piastri who looked very good in the early stages of the season. Time is on his side and he can go away and learn what he can do better next season.
Why would Red Bull develop a car when Vertappen was 100+ points behind and the Constructors title was gone? They wouldn't waste money like that! They would have promoted Hadjar if they were investing in this car! They thought the season was over, as did Verstappen! McClaren being to nice allowed Max to crawl pack 98 points and nearly lost them the Driver title, not car development!

They finished nearly 400 points behind in the constructors, which was won with 6 races to go. They wouldn't try and develop a car to win a constructors championship with only having one driver who can score points, whilst both McClaren drivers were 100 point ahead of Verstappen?

But they did develop the car and they did keep bringing upgrades unless the 4th to last race.
