What if you just delete your apps before you fly out ? How would they know.

Depends if accounts linked to your online profile have been previously flagged by keyword searches. You can delete your app's and accounts, but the internet never forgets.

Basically, assume everything you have ever posted online has been at least stored somewhere for future reference, if not already scanned for keywords and phrases. Even something simple as liking a post that wishes someone harm can raise a red flag.
