Agree. It’s hard for me to think of anyone that pressed as diligently as Alvarez. He was everywhere.Disagree with this part.
Alvarez was the closest I have seen to Tevez in regards to work rate from a forward.
Jesus did it well too.

Not blaming him at all. He has really developed at AthleticoDeserves to be the main striker of a team and would always be behind Haaland here. Can’t blame him one bit
He's a willing runner, just like Jesus. Not a lot more than that. Like Jesus, pretty much a one-season wonder.
Really enjoying seeing Alvarez in that team, do miss him here but it’s great he’s now the main man for them, deserves itNot blaming him at all. He has really developed at Athletico
Jesus had a goal or assist every 100 minutes for City in14000 minutes. That's consistently top-tier output across multiple seasons.
His biggest problem was injuries, which have just got worse at Arsenal.
I think the only comparison with Jesus is neither of them seem to know the offside rule.Didn’t do to bad for us when he signed last season, without him we wouldn’t have got champions league football. Also unfortunate to pick up an injury during the early parts of this season.
I find the Jesus comparisons baffling, but anyway.
Marmoush is good at it too. Probably the best in the team right now.Agree. It’s hard for me to think of anyone that pressed as diligently as Alvarez. He was everywhere.

I thought he was going to be brilliant (Jesus) for the first few games. Then I realised the offside decisions weren't just unlucky.Jesus wasn't/isn't a particularly good player. If he was, he'd still be at City. He flattered to deceive, and was living off a decent spell for ages... Spent most of his last year or so making pointless runs. Just like Marmoush.
Anyone can be persuaded
How many of those were we really reluctant to lose. Probably just AlvarezThat's how we've lost:
Dzeko
Balotelli
Negredo
Jovetic
Bony
Jesus
Torres
Alvarez

His "replacement" was Bony so that makes it pretty easy to appreciate him.Dzeko more than Alvarez if we're honest with ourselves!
A lot of City fans think back fondly on Dzeko.. more than you think anyways..

Cancelo is not much lovedThat's interesting.. I wonder if there's a player or list of players City fans absolutely detest after he left the club!
Hmm any (un)honorable mentions?
Not really the only positive of selling Alvarez was the fee.Dzeko more than Alvarez if we're honest with ourselves!
