Last Film You Saw

Sicario.
Emily Blunt as an FBI agent who is recruited to join a drug task force on the border of USA/Mexico. With Benico de Toro who I haven't seen since he was a baddie in Licence to Kill and he's filled out in middle age and his looks have definitely improved...mmmmmmm nice. Not a bad film. 7.5-8/10.
Great film and the second is good as well, I hope they finish the trilogy.

"Jay Kelly".

Good lord, it was awful for me to sit through!!

Adam Sandler is just so bad in almost everything that's classed as 'drama'. "Uncut Gems" was his best ever piece of work, drama or 'comedy'. He just drags everything down with his non-nuanced performances. With that said "Uncut Gems" suited his whole limited acting ability.

As for Clooney, we've seen it all. You know his beats, his head tilts, his expressions and you could almost set your watch by how he'll react in a scene!

There are, though, some nice directing components to the film that keeps it afloat... just!

As for the plot, it didn't have to be linear, but it chooses to be (seeing the ending coming up to halfway through the film in my attempt to give it a chance. Probably would have seen it earlier if I was overly critical), with no closure and such an ambiguous ending.

I told myself not to watch it and I need to trust myself more...

Cracking film. The shootout at the border crossing; wow. And Ms Blunt is very easy on the eye.
