Palace played a strong side at Shelbourne. Got 3-0 up by half-time then took their 3 best players off at half-time. That's the way you do it Pep.

It sounds more like a refreshing holiday than a draining football match.
Pep did that against Feyenoord last season; took Aké, Gündoğan and Foden off on 70mins at 3-0 and it ended up 3-3.

Kolo Toure doing today's pre-match press conference instead of Pep. Should be interesting. Surprised it's not Ljinders, thought he was effectively the number two.

Personal matter? When things like this appear it gets in your head & despite stupid criticism he gets it makes you realise how valued he is and what a dreadful day it will be when he goes.

WHAT A GUY; WHAT A MANAGER. And love how he has grown to hate the press like us fans - & answers their sly questions accordingly

I‘d probably go:

———-———Donnarumma————-
Nunes—-Dias—Gvardiol—Ait Nouri
—————-Bernardo-Nico G——-
——-Bobb———Foden——Doku——-
——————-—-Haaland——-———

Ait Nouri is a risk, but he‘s going to have to play at some point. And we need to give O‘Reilly a breather.
Cherki out would be purely tactical. As we don‘t have any other option for the centre of midfield, Bernardo has to play. But he can‘t be doing the kind of running he has been as the 6/8/10 and right winger. So it perhaps needs someone more disciplined on the right, so Bernardo can just play next to Gonzalez.
Could play Cherki as the 10 and rest Foden, but that would give us a non-existent press up top.
The alternative would be to play Lewis in midfield and rest Bernardo. But I just can‘t see that (and don‘t particularly want to either).
Can‘t trust Ake to play - he can‘t move his legs.
Rest the rest in the cup.

Surely we rotate against Brentford next Wednesday. One last push from the same eleven that started against Real, they've had nearly four days recovery
Yep just the odd change v Palace for anybody who they have serious concerns over rather than just for the sake of changes
