Was surprised when I voted for Nunes that he has 42% he really deserves it he has been great last few games and just missed out so this time Cherki just misses out

O’Reilly was solid, Donarumma played well too.

Good team performance against a very good team.

Have given it Cherki, but could just as easily have given it Nunes ..... nobody really had a bad game though, we looked more compact and determined the longer the game went on ... even the much maligned Reijnders put a worthwhile shift in !

At moment Nunes and Cherki have 85% of the vote between them but Foden was motm according to tv.

He had a good game, took his chance very well, but I'd place Cherki, Nunes, and Gvardiol above him. Strong case for Big Erl as well. TV pundits talking bollocks.

Cherki got a dirty late foul in the first half which took him a few minutes to get over. Glen Murray said the Palace player was only slightly late - so that's alright then. Cherki was by far the classiest player on the pitch

Agreed although Wharton was superb for Palace. Reminded me very much of KDB. We need to test Palace for his signature in the summer.

I said Cherki in the match thread but after thinking about it, Nunes deserves it. One or two others played well though, Donnarumma made a couple of good saves and came out for a couple of corners, The big, blonde bombshell of course. After Real Madrid in midweek, this was going to be a testing game and if you said we would win both matches, I wouldn’t have believed it. A fantastic week for us City fans. COYB.

Lol, the irrepressible force that is Erling Haaland eh? You barely even notice he's on the pitch for 40 minutes and suddenly, bang, Palace find themselves trailing to a stunning City goal, and Haaland grinning all the way back to the centre spot!

Yep, he was excellent today, full of running, taking people on, he's enjoying himself now ... and the other lads appreciate him ... i noticed Foden was heading back towards the centre circle after he'd scored until Dias rapidly pointed him in the direction of Cherki and they all celebrated the goal together!

Can we take a second to tip our virtual caps to Matheus? Think about how far he’s come since the disaster at the end of the Derby last year. Don’t know that any of us saw him becoming this important a player for us. Credit to him for the work and the toughness to battle through a pretty low place.

He looks like an accomplished right back currently. He’s as good as anything in the league at the moment. Keep it up.

Yeah, I noticed that ..... i didn't think Phil was all that effective in the first half to be honest .. until Haalands goal Palace we're probably the more threatening side.

Second half and the Foden-Cherki link was definitely stronger, and causing Palace increasing problems.

He's just incredible ..... he's seemingly done nothing of any real note for the first 40 minutes, and then suddenly, bang, and the ball's in the Palace net!

What a ball in that was from Nunes though, an absolute peach of a cross!
