I will never understand how a person can commit such atrocities because of something they read in a book, or something they heard from a relative, or a preacher, or online. How hatred can blind you so much that you're gunning down innocent people. Children.

I don't want to believe that some people are just born evil, but the older I get the more I begin to accept it. I dread to think what horrors will come next year, or the year after, or 10 years from now. What my future children and grandchildren will have to see and live through. We've messed this world up, haven't we?

Is it fair to say Netanyahu and his actions have made attacks on Jewish people more likely or do you believe now and in the future no family member of a dead Palestinian may turn to terrorism against innocent jews and anyone watching the events in gaza unfold will not decide to carry out an attack based on the atrocities they have seen.

But people are implying their actions are more justified because of Netanyahu. Antisemitism has thrived on 'excuses' like blood libels, Jews controlling the banks, the media and other such falsehoods. The Nazis blamed the Jews for Germany's defeat in WWI. We even see it on this forum occasionally.

Netanyahu, and his actions in Gaza are just another excuse, albeit a convenient one.

Equally, the actions of two terrorists should not lead to the condemnation of Muslims across the globe, for they too wish to live in peace.

I haven't seen a post saying justified, its a more a case of more likely, inevitable. He must of known the more extreme the action the more likely of increased terrorist acts. And people who seem to think the murder of Jews is excusable because of the actions of Israel are just as bad as those who think it's ok to murder innocent Gazans because of the actions of Hamas.

Agree with a lot of what you’re saying. It’s absolutely appalling what is happening. Obviously as you say antisemitism has always happened and it’s disgusting.

However, it is more likely these kind off attacks happen now as we’ve seen in recent months on the back of what the Israeli government has done and continues to do in Palestine. Just like terror attacks where Blair and Bush etc have blood on their hands. Nobody is trying to justify it unless they’re completely sick in the head but it’s not that surprising that sadly we’ll see more of it.

The problem with sides is that you see the march as hate-based. In actuality, the marches protest killing and occupation - 65,000 killed Palestinians in two years. That isn't hate based, it is humanity based, and the marches across the globe in support of Palestine contain many Jewish people ashamed of Israel's behaviour. I march alongside these people, and I haven't a bone of hate in my body. I would equally march against the terror attacks committed in Bondi, Manchester, London, Manhattan, Sweden, etc.

Killing is wrong - 16 people on a beach, 65,000 in Gaza, 1,200 in Southern Israel in 2023, 2,996 in Manhattan...WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.
