Why is there not a statue of Yaya?

Tevez was a statement signing; a two fingers to that lot in Trafford. But I don't think any City fan would really consider him to be a legend. No more than Toure (who would have more claim to be classed as a legend), both players' actions off the pitch rule them out of any such conversation.
So...apply that logic to George Best being too pissed to train or turn out for utd
Or Mike Doyle ,openly admitting he wanted to join utd?
Both still legends for their on field play for their respective clubs.

What is the Bobby Robson guns in boot incident.

Granted my search abilities are poor but i literally came up blank on the net for anything related to that sentence?
It never made the news...
Your hv to speak to long in the tooth Geordies for info on that.....

Yet Tevez main problem with his Golf trips was Mancini throwing him with a lie under the bus. And Tevez in typical fashion of him (for the good and bad) didn't even care to clarify the situation.
There is no current City without Tevez at all, and these it's even said by his mates in those days, it was the main catalyst to actually be seen and started to be fear.

Still I do agree that Tevez played for Tevez, but in the meantime, he helped every team he was (bar royally fecking the Chinese) to be better. At the end of the day he could do what he did, because he backed it up in the pitch and was a dude that could face literally anything throw to him, a rare specimen in such sense.

I always wondered if this was real:

Anyone know if it is?

I tried ChatGPT and got absolutely nothing.
Shame, sounds like a good story.

Not bothered what a player at another club does, as long as it doesn't impact on City. So, bringing Best into the conversation is irrelevant to me. As for Doyle; yes, that would be disappointing. But you're comparing attitudes from two very different eras. Views are very much more polarised now than they were back then. In Doyle's era, you even had fans who would go to City one weekend and utd the next. Apart from the hooligan element, the outright hatred from both sets of fans to the other just wasn't there. Not to the same extent, anyway. But we're obviously not going to agree on this.

No,I accept we are not .esp as it was very well known that Doyle " hated " utd ..and your very aware of this Jim,so it beggars belief that he would want to join them..kinda blows apart your " it was different in those days ' argument.

How different was it when Best effectively ended Pardoes career or Buchan smashed Bells knee ?
The good old days eh when both sets of players got on so well with each other ...?
It's easy to say I don't care about other teams players ,but the examples I've given you can only be ignored... as you can't answer them. Asking for a cake is so different to " I want to speak to matt busby and leave City for utd "

Yet Yaya gets all the flack ...
