2024/25 Annual report - £694.1m revenue, £9.9m loss

what do you suggest. the club had a poor season relative to previous seasons, maybe we could have played some extra matches in hong kong to boost revenue

Just seems a shock to make a loss mate? Top class business people making a loss on £694.1m revenues? The CFG as an organization loses a fortune still every year I think?

Meh, every business I have been involved with has always showed a break even or small loss at the end of year accounts.
Yet here I am, retired before 50 having a wonderful old time. :-)

How much did we make from the Club World Cup last summer?! And was the money from that included?
good question as that was supposed to offset lot of the money we missed out on due to bit worse PL result and the early CL failure. the income from CWC has to be in either this report or the next one. I recall around 40m gbp just for those few CWC games. Chelsea maxed it out with a much higher sum.

Has to be in next years I think, it can't "offset" anything from these set of accounts though (if I'm right).

But still keep the part left over after tax which puts us in a better position than making losses, not sure on your point?
Nah - just musing. I guess it's unusual nowadays for any club to show a profit so wondered if there are financial reasons for not doing so.
