Nothing less than expected from an accountant….That's actually an exemplar explanation of assets and depreciation

what do you suggest. the club had a poor season relative to previous seasons, maybe we could have played some extra matches in hong kong to boost revenue
Then you’re going to be amazed when you hear what big household name multinationals report in their accounts…Just seems a shock to make a loss mate? Top class business people making a loss on £694.1m revenues? The CFG as an organization loses a fortune still every year I think?
Install fag machines in the bogs at £30 a packet?Increase the price of pies/chips and charge to go in the bogs that should bring us back into profit :)
Have you never been self employed Uwe?But still keep the part left over after tax which puts us in a better position than making losses, not sure on your point?
No. Go to bed.
if you had £9.90 and Gary neville had 10p if he took your money what would he have "2 black eyes and a broken nose "Someone explain the report to me like I'm five years old please
Meh, every business I have been involved with has always showed a break even or small loss at the end of year accounts.Just seems a shock to make a loss mate? Top class business people making a loss on £694.1m revenues? The CFG as an organization loses a fortune still every year I think?
Made £95m in player sales, our third highest ever.So we basically lost £10 million in a season where we didn't win anything, didn't really get anything from player sales and spent a shitload of cash
I'll take that.
No but the odd lot might go down with a billion in the redAre we still going down with a billion in the bank?
good question as that was supposed to offset lot of the money we missed out on due to bit worse PL result and the early CL failure. the income from CWC has to be in either this report or the next one. I recall around 40m gbp just for those few CWC games. Chelsea maxed it out with a much higher sum.How much did we make from the Club World Cup last summer?! And was the money from that included?
If we had sold Akanji, Ortega, Philipps and Grealish for £2.5m each, we'd have made a profit.I know we missed out on champions league but it’s pretty poor to lose money currently?
Has to be in next years I think, it can't "offset" anything from these set of accounts though (if I'm right).good question as that was supposed to offset lot of the money we missed out on due to bit worse PL result and the early CL failure. the income from CWC has to be in either this report or the next one. At least our wage bill will be nearly zero. Every cloud …Our revenues will be a lot lower in 2026/27 when we're playing in League Two and all the players have ripped up their contracts to leave on free transfers.
If you did a retrospective charge over the last 10 years we’d have a revenue twice the GDP of China. An exit charge between 80 mins and 90 would bring in millions
The principle of taxation remain the sameHave you never been self employed Uwe?
Nah - just musing. I guess it's unusual nowadays for any club to show a profit so wondered if there are financial reasons for not doing so.But still keep the part left over after tax which puts us in a better position than making losses, not sure on your point?
Those would be our mitigating circumstancesWe got conned out of winning last season's FA Cup.
