Might be mixing it up with his semi final goal at villa park !
1969.

That Everton away game in the cup was legendary! Paul Power and Gerry Gow! I've heard loads of stories about the fighting that day all around Goodison stanley park and lime street.
John Bonds signings toughened us up,we'd have never got that 2- 2 draw at Everton with the old team. It sounded a brilliant but as u say lively day out from start to finish .I listened to the 2nd half at home on my transistor radio. Still feel the buzz now to this day ,wasn't even there !

Yeah Kevin Reeves was good in the air! Headed assist for Gow at Goodison as you say, then headed assist for. " MACKENZIE!!!" brilliant goal at Wembley fa cup final replay v Spurs ...and B4 that the ' goal' that never was....v bloody Liverpool in the 81 league cup semi final, another header ruled out by that bent referee....were you at Anfield for that one too mate ?

City should by rights have been at Wembley for both domestic cup finals in 1981....thinking back there were riots all over UK in 1981,..... esp Liverpool ie toxteth....ref prob had his card marked before kick off...........

Like I say John Bond was like a breath of fresh air to me..came from nowhere .brought 3 great signings and City started winning games again!! Exciting times ,never to be forgotten.
