This is Jake he reached the grand old age of 16 at the start of December, sadly his health has been deteriorating the last few months, today he passed over the rainbow bridge. I’ve never really been a cat person but he was more like a dog an absolutely belting cat. My daughter is devastated he’s been with her since she was born and calls him her best mate. Her first word was CAT! He put up with us getting two spaniels and showed them whose boss and was never any trouble, he will be sorely missed. RIP Jake.

I hope people have seen the utube vids of returning soldiers being greeted by their cats. The cats ‘shout’ and jump for joy. One I saw turned a backward somersault. Yep, they do really love us.

Merlin was like that when i got home from hospital, that and running round me yapping away , it was really funny and lovely
