I know it's way more complexed than this, but, why are the UK government funding rat face for this plant when he has enough money spare to be investing in the rags. If this funding means he has extra money to invest in the rags, does that mean the government are helping the rags by proxy :-)

And no doubt Scruffy Jim will end up transferring the business to somewhere in Europe a few years down the line. Ineos are losing money left, right & centre, yet the government use taxpayer funds to bail him out. If it genuinely saves jobs, supply chains, etc. then fair enough but this weasel has amassed a personal fortune whilst leveraging Ineos to the hilt. Can't stand the fucker.

Any loans from government for any business
Should be against equity. If they’ve received tax breaks & close & move then they should be paid back.

If only he’d move another one of his part owned businesses… maybe to ireland or Scandinavia, Malaysia, china or Singapore… it would bring the business closer to its fans customers.

I live the other side of Mossmorran from Grangemouth and this is killing the local communities. I didn't know Grangemouth was so important to the UK pipeline, so lord knows what comes next.

The sooner Trump shuts down this peado factory the better!
Is it really a good thing if £10bn from Britsh citizens goes to a neo-fascist narcissist to further his significant wealth that is already boosted by his gross conflicts of interest and acceptance of bribes? Wouldn't that just encourage a swifter collapse into the moral cesspit that world is spiraling towards at the moment, where hatred, violence, ignorance and all-out war are admired, and intelligence, compassion, empathy and peace disdained?

OK ok, sorry, I'm off to the politics thread.

Had a response following my complaint to the BBC about material inaccuracies in their report following the FA Cup draw, about City's ownership.

We note your concerns about the article entitled 'Could Man City FA Cup draw save Exeter City?'.

The segment in question was comparing the gulf in finances between Man City and Exeter City. We felt it was editorially relevant to briefly note the clubs financial backing given Sheikh Mansour is a member of the ruling family in Abu Dhabi and current vice President of the United Arab Emirates.

However please be assured there is no agenda in our reporting and we have shared your concerns about the article with the BBC Sport team.

However I didn't complain about agenda or financial backing. I complained about the claim that we were owned by the Abu Dhabi state, when the true ownership details were in the public domain and could therefore be easily checked, and that regardless of the Sheikh's wealth, we were bound by the same spending rules as all other PL clubs, and could only spend what we earned.

Yeah my comment was more tongue in cheek tbh. Happy for the bbc to be disbanded but not on those terms!

Nothing too controversial there tbf. Kane having a great season so far.
Not sure if this season's form is taken into account ?
LFC have 4 or 5 players in the twenty something positions.
Apart from the Hungarian lad (not attempting his name), the others have been average.
Even Virgil the Thunderbird is up there, despite showing his arse whenever an opponent shoots on goal (thanks VVD)...

Guardian having Haaland at 6 in 100 best male footballers and Kane at 5 is a bit wild. Not entirely sure what's the criteria but he's the de-facto player every side wants right now.

Is Haaland the 6th best footballer ? I think Foden and O'Reilly are better technical players.
Is Haaland the best striker ? Yes 100% best footballer ? No

2 city players top 60, versus 8 liverpool (guess they conveniently stopped watching after april?) and 8 arsenal (who we are likely to overtake tomorrow)

and no cherki top ONE HUNDRED

surprised that speccy gimp liu wasn’t a contributor

I'd be interested to know why Hinchcliffe, as an ex blue, seems to go out of his way to be totally the opposite of biased towards us. It's not just last night, it's a theme with him. He rarely has a good word to say about the players, team or club. I wonder if he had issues with the club, feels he missed out on some of our success since he left, or actively tries not to be accused of just being an ex biased city player.
think he would of been in his forties when we lifted the FA cup :)

My nieces and nephews have told me repeatedly that One Direction are far superior to The Beatles. They have bombarded me with the amount of hits on Spotify , downloads sales and views on YouTube.
I was also informed that a male singer called Morgan Wallen has recently broken all sorts of sales records, someone I don't think I have ever heard of.

The Hungarian lad is called Slobolob.

But it's about skill set. Footballers have specific skill sets. This makes them "footballers'.
Haaland is so far and away better at his specific skill that yes, he is a top 10 footballer in the world. By your logic almost all central defenders and all goalkeeper would never crack the top 100 but they are just as integral as someone who has a wider range of "skills".

Time will prove you right.

I doubt any of these artists will have the longevity of The Beatles in popular music history
