Spot on the days of sports journalists writing proper thought out pieces or investigative journalism is long gone ( Martin Samuel being the last of them) nowadays they are basically social media influencers looking clicks with sensationalist headlines and quotes which come from sources within or close to,biggest load of claptrap..
 
I’ve actually heard something but not sure if to post it and it’s 100% ..a certain manager is going end of season and will be joining the rags he served as number 2 to pep and currently managing a team in London who are top of the league..
 
There is only a very select number of people who will know if Pep is wrapping up at the end of the season and they will not be talking to the press. For me it seems unlikely given the 2 year extension culminated, according to reports, in the break up of his marriage
If the rumours of our transfer targets are factual it is more likely one of Semenyo’s or Guehi’s other suitors are trying to cause some uncertainty. Neither are going to club without champions league football so it all points to the dippers using their client media shrills which fits with their modus operandi

It really is fake news. Most of the football pack run stories from unreliable sources without asking the first question which is: “Why is he telling me this.” There are exceptions like Samuel of course but they are a dying breed. People on this forum are better informed because it is a proven crowdsourcing tool with many thousands of members. All the snippets of info combined get us to the truth.

As you will be aware The Athletic is a subscription service. However, they do not publish figures for how many subscribers they have in the UK. Probably on a fishing trip to recruit new subscribers by showing how ' well informed' they are.

My take entirely. Just as we have a sniff of going top (always jinxed within an hour of it being mentioned, just ask the Rags!) out come the perennial tales of Pep leaving and the Empire terminating! Sooooooo bloody predictable.
