You are wrong.

1. The two are unconnected, because we already give foreign aid whether or not rich landopwners pay any tax (which they currently don't), and the amount is not going to change when farmers start to pay a bit of IHT. I would say that the tax will go towards the vast subsidies already given to UK farming, and the bigger the landowner the bigger the cheque they cash every year.

2. On top of the £1million allowance that any normal decent tax-paying couple get, these rich landowning scroungers get an additional £2million ofAgricultural Allowance, so only start paying IHT on assets over £3million.

3. The reason the land is worth so much is because the rich (like Clarkson) buy up agricultural land as a way to save IHT and this forces the cost up. Remove the loophole and land values should revert to normal levels

It is about fairness with the rest of the population who don't get this special treatment.

Why should me or anyone else pay IHT if these moaning pricks with far more wealth wont?

Thanks to the these ridiculous protests the public are now well aware that the rich entitled scroungers are getting a far better deal than the rest of us.

Bollocks, its a tax on landowners not farmers. There are many tenant farmers who are completely unaffected by this tax change as they don't own £3million plus of land and over 40% of farmers are unaffected by it.

If tenant farmers can survive while paying rent then either the landowning farmers must be very bad at their job if they really can't pay any tax at all despite paying no rent. More likely they are lying about not being able to pay any tax..

If they have to sel a field to pay IHT then that field will just be bought by another better or bigger farmer. And guess what he will do with that agricultural land? That's right, he will farm it! So it will just pass from an inefficient farmer to a bigger and better and more profitable farmer and output (food production) will go up.

It is a thing called "market forces" and it applies to every industry (apart from farming it seems)
 
A number of farmers have already committed suicide over this policy, well just have to wait till April to see how many overall. The policy is nothing more than a money grab by the government who will pass it on to foreign farmers

Agricultural land is worth fuck all in the scheme of things, it only has significant value if housing is allowed to be built on it.

Wealthy landowners worth over £3millon who are willing to top themselves to save a bit of tax are proper extremist tax avoiders and you want people to feel sorry for them?

That’s why the rest of us have to pay more tax because big business and rich scrounges won’t.

You are talking nonsense about it going to foreign farmers, that is a flat out lie, as I explained it not linked to this IHT. It’s about fairness.

The amount given in subsidies to farms vastly exceeds the tax raised from them, so the rest of us are subsidising poor businessmen and scroungers.
