West Ham United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

What a first match for my sweety pops. She outsung half the Etihad tbf. She's hooked for life View attachment 178068
Lol, I'll bet she did ..... kids are nothing if not enthusiastic, and they won't care less how much noise they make ...... just as long as she enjoyed herself, and she saw a few goals into the bargain, she'll remember the day ... I'll bet all the kids in school get the full story from her after the Christmas holidays!

Gonna win the lot again.

The signing of Donnarumma will be the catalyst to another treble, the confidence floods from back to front

It's like we've signed a prime Ruben Dias all over again
It's just as well that Donnarumma remained alert because we fell asleep for spell after half time, and we needed his help .... Pep was that frustrated he rubbed the top of his head, and made a bee line for his subs !

Strolled through the game but that complacency we saw at times wont please Pep.

From the players point of view its difficult...we go 1-0 up in 5 mins and West Ham still dont try to play until the second half...the players know they have loads of games to come and probably subconsciously try to rest themselves a bit.

We controlled and dominated the game for the vast majority of it without breaking sweat. We did what we needed to to get the 3 pts. Good to see some players getting a rest....especially Nico G who was good again.
Cherki played well again and Nunes was good again....Haaland does what Haaland does but you could see he was frustrated by some of the sloppiness.
Reijnders got a goal BUT he still needs to be affecting the game more and adding more defensively.

I can see Pep wanting to say more about doing the simple things perfectly all the time however....!

I Must have watched a different game. He worked his bollox off.
He's all right, but I think Bowen is more effective ..... the ball Bowen put across the city six yard box in the first half was just crying out for someone to get on the end of it and put it in the back of our net .... the trouble was that the best hope West Ham had of finishing that excellent ball off was if Bowen had been on the end of it himself!

Pretty easy win for us today..all our players did well.
Some of our one touch football is wonderful to watch.
Nice to be top of the league even if it might be short-lived..
Have a good Christmas boys and girls..

I thought Bowen was excellent for them. A real handful second half particularly. His birthday too today apparently!

The team and performances are maturing nicely over the season. We're in a very good spot.

Some ultra slick football with a purpose - albeit everyone's at it with the Cherki flicks. Wonder what Pep makes of it....... Still a massive amount of improvement to come from this side this season. Once Erling, Phil and Rayan arrive at the edge of the box you can smell the fear in opponents. Imagine how we would feel seeing that trio marauding into our box against us. You can sense the confidence in this side and it transmits to the fans in the stands.
