That makes sense. Oddly his stock seemed to rise whilst he was injured, on the back of that goal at Newcastle and a couple of pre season friendlies….
I will be disappointed if he goes because I believe he has the potential to be a world-class player. Nevertheless, at this moment, he is not going to replace Erling, Cherki, Foden, or Doku, and probably not Savinho either, and we have McAidoo, Heskey, and the Samba boys coming up on the rails - all technical and very physical - and he needs game time to bring out that potential. A loan or a sale with a buy-back seems fair to him, and fair to the club.
Get both :)Sell with a buyback or use to get Wharton or Anderson
his biggest weakness is decision making. He very rarely makes the correct decision even if his moves do come off. runs into blind alleys, uses the wrong foot to dribble, wrong angle for a shot, wrong position in the box. He does not play in a way that maximizes his impact.
I disagree, but time and consistent appearances will be the deciding factor.Don’t think he will ever be world class mate, he has top class moments but Nusa even is better than Oscar. Sell with a buyback back is the best but needs to benefit us with where he is going. Palace for Wharton or Forest for Anderson deals would be nice!

He’s just come back from a major injury and it’s been what half a season? Where he’s barely started. This season’s Macatee. Simply hasn’t done enough when the chance presented itself. Compare and contrast with O’Reilly.
Get both :)
I think he had ankle ligament damage too. He’s just come back from a major injury and it’s been what half a season? Where he’s barely started.
If we judged all of our players that harshly, half the squad would be gone.
Suppose O’reily gets badly injured and is then out of form, do we then sell him?
This is Manchester City mate. An elite club at the top of the tree striving for trophies. We haven’t got time for fucking about. You either come in and make an impact and/or show serious potential to do so, or we get someone else who will. He’s just come back from a major injury and it’s been what half a season? Semenyo is definitely an upgrade and I think most people understand why the club want to do it to compete on all fronts. He's not at the level we need at the moment. We are an elite team now and he's not elite yet. He may be in the future but unfortunately we can't wait around for every player to become good enough. He's not an 18 year old kid. He may become amazing and we may regret letting him go, but that's a chance we take with every player going out and coming in. Bobb needs to be playing more to develop too, so it's not really fair to keep him if we have better players.
Semenyo is an upgrade, if we get him he makes our team better. Swapping them is a no brainer IMO.
Fortunately we've been blessed with wingers with the same core issue..I thought you were talking about Savinho. That's his best description.
That's because we didn't get a bid of £70m for Savinho.Semenyo is definitely an upgrade and I think most people understand why the club want to do it to compete on all fronts.
But Semenyo is also a huge upgrade on Savinho. For me Bobb is such a better player than him technically and Savio has only really impressed recently on fast breaks whereas Bobb was struggling to break down low block teams.
He’s 22 and needs more football but I will always say he’s more of a City player than Savio and would be amazed if in 10 years time Savio has a better career.
Bobb was clearly rated really highly by the club. The reluctance to sell Savio for me is more hoping a CFG transfer becomes a success especially as there was a bid of 70m for him - madness that was never accepted.
