Hope it's just a loan got great potential Oscar so annoying he got that bad injury last season when we were in the doldrums he would've started most weeks.

No, but a bit more so than Bernardo.
We are never going to buy a bodybuilder, and very technical powerhouses are thin on the ground.
I like Wharton's ability to deliver the first-time pass because he has scanned the pitch before he receives the ball. Gonzalez does the same scanning but plays a little differently. I haven't seen enough of Anderson. Tonali would be a great choice for us, IMO.

I don’t think Macatee was any different to Bobb. Macatee got plenty of opportunities last season he just didn’t do enough with them it was nothing to do with him being on a shorter contract or looking for a move, he simply didn’t show he was good enough for a team looking to win titles.

Maybe, although I was neither comparing their abilities as players nor Pep's perceived take on them. But what people are/were saying about them. Which is almost identical.

Fwiw I think Pep rates Bobb a lot higher than McAtee. And Palmer. Not as much as he rated Foden, although what he 'says' is no real measure.

Don't think he'd stand in his way if he wanted to leave, and wouldn't have had stood in Foden's either. All down to each individual player how patient or mature they want to be.

The major difference between Bobb, McAtee and Foden is arrogance and confidence. Phil came into the team and had a confidence about him wanted the ball tried to make things happen, scored in the champions league. When he was brought in he didn’t look like he didn’t know what to do and he was consistently decent in his showings. Mostly showed consistency

Bobb and McAtee would have a good game with a goal or assist and then the next be ineffective and look lost. Injury could’ve affected Bobbs confidence.

Palmer was in my opinion the same as Foden knew he was good, was effective whenever he played and showed he knew he belonged here. Came up with big goals in cup competitions consistently showed his ability.
Believed in his ability and left to be an important player at Chelsea.

I think you can have all the ability in the world and show that at academy level but when in the first team to make it here ,
I think you need to have a bit of arrogance and confidence that you belong here and want to make the position yours.
