But it wasn't what is deemed reckless. That's the only issue here.I disagree, he glanced at where he was and ran across him. Knowing full well he'd trip him, it was a yellow for me. But saying that, it wasn't a yellow in the 1st half.
"Careless is when a player shows a lack of attention or consideration when making a challenge or acts without precaution. No disciplinary sanction is needed
Reckless is when a player acts with disregard to the danger to, or consequences for, an opponent and must be cautioned."
That's the official wording and it (the foul) clearly doesn't meet the definition of reckless.
