General Admission Plus (GA+) seats in the North Stand.
There seems to be a misunderstanding amongst some of the comments made on here about the General Admission Plus (GA+) seats in the North Stand.
More reliable posters on the North Stand Construction thread had previously identified the following -
1. GA+ seats will be located on level O at the back of that level. Approx.500 will have access to City Hall.
2. GA+ seats will also be located at the start of the expanded North Stand. Approx.300 will have access to the Cross Bar.
These are for general City fans who can and are happy to pay extra for the additional social aspects of attending matches. Blues who prefer to have access to their own bar area with the associated convenience.
It is misleading by some commentators to describe these as corporate posh seats for posh people.
City are made up of many different types of fans. We can all get along together.
The presence of 500 GA+ seats in level 0 and 300 GA+ seats will have absolutely no bearing on the atmosphere that can be generated by 7,000 EXTRA seats in the North Stand made up of safe standing and general admission.
Pricing
The pricing of the NS safe standing is bound to be the cheapest in the stadium. It will obviously be a lower cost than the existing South Stand level 0. That would be consistent with current pricing.
Facts
The facts are that the configurations of the SS, the away fans splitting the home fans, the away fans dominating cup matches, the small scale of SS0 can never be overcome. It is not a complete, entire City End. That is what we need and can now have.
Way Forward
Lets all start pulling in the same direction. The North Stand needs to be embraced.
The only logical way forward, from an atmosphere perspective, is the NORTH STAND.

Not criticising your opinion, but would like to discuss it with you.
I would like you to define or expand on your definition of a "proper fan" in the context of the club having replaced them with other types.
I also would like to state some logistical and historical facts. In 2007/08 our Home average attendance was 39000, given 2/3 thousand away fans, there were about 37000 "proper fans . I had a Season ticket in East level 3, most games there were plenty of empty seats that "proper" fans could purchase up to KO.
After the Takeover which was celebrated by most fans , the stated aim was to give our fans a World class team and Stadium , and the Stadium has been extended and improved to a World level.
Now, from 2007 and 37000 proper fans, how do people expect an extended Stadium needing 59000 home fans to be filled.
22000 extra home fans when we could not fill it with "proper fans" in 2007.
The 22000 must come from somewhere.
Anyway great day out at Forest, well done to fans all getting in for KO and staying to applaud the team at the end.
Also the drug dogs outside seemed to really enjoy their Xmas -:)

Will any Season Ticket Members need to relocate when the expanded North Stand opens?
Edited 1 month(s) agoA small number of Season Ticket Members in North Stand Level 0 (formerly Level 1) will need to relocate due to the introduction of City Hall. Fans will not need to relocate during the 2025/26 season and will only be required to relocate before the start of the new season.
No relocations are required to accommodate Cross Bar.

City have also gained a far higher proportion of "school playground support" than in previous years/decades.
However, in many cases these young supporters are probably more interested in following City than their parents
Does that make them "proper fans" or should it even matter, especially as they weren't even born when City were hosting Macclesfield and Wycombe?

I don't know what definition @Axel Freed or others use as a "proper" fan .
I wanted a definition so I could see if I was one. It certainly seems important for many on here who seem to think "proper" fans are being replaced.

I think it is the tourist market that people have a problem with. Unfortunately it is a consequence of sitting as a top tier/world leading club. Whether you like it or not the revenue is required. I struggle with it but unfortunately I don't know how you get around it.

Completely agree.
I actually sit in ESL0 which is already expensive and may actually be more expensive than these GA+ seats in the NS might end up being. So I might opt for those if they’re in a decent price range and there’ll be a singer in me in the GA+ seats for a kick off.

The crucial missing piece of information here for me is how these tickets will be sold on a game by game basis.
Will they be sold in the same way as a GA seats, via the seat planner, or will they be sold via the hospitality section of the website?
If they're sold via the hospitality section, then people won't need memberships or purchase history to buy a ticket, leaving the section susceptible to away fans for big games.

Where have you got the above from about the pricing? While the prices may well be cheaper than SS0 - that said, my SS0 season ticket is £200 cheaper than most in SS0 as it’s on the front few rows - for anyone to say the prices will be the cheapest in the stadium is a huge claim as I’ll be very surprised if they undercut the cheapest seats in SS3.
Apparently there is a Reijnders one to like a prayer as well

Personally I think the prices will likely mirror the prices of SS3.
Saying that, the club might take the position that because the new stand will have more modern facilities, then they've got a reason to charge more. This would be incredibly stupid and tone deaf, but wouldn't surprise me at all.

Technically they aren’t, but to lots of people they are. Call it corporate, corporate lite, posh - whatever you want to call it.
From what I’ve seen prices in ss2 are about £1350 for season tickets. So completely unaffordable and out of reach for large sections of our fanbase.
Of course the people who sit there are sound and are all city fans, but for people on lower incomes or younger people - in general they aren’t sitting in those seats. There is a clear difference from ss3 to ss2, whether that’s atmosphere or the types of fans sitting in those areas. Even for fan displays, it’s often that second tier not joining in or half empty
If we want an atmospheric home end or area like that behind the goal, I personally don’t want it to be like ss2 and there shouldn’t be any GA+ seating
A lot of these points seem very surface level to be honest and not addressing any real root cause. In my opinion the club do need to do more and have dialogue with supporters but at the same time we need to take some accountability as fans cos at the end of the day they're not going to sing for us. A good example would be the old firm clubs taking the initiative and starting their own groups.
