The next match was on 24th May and we beat Bolton 6-4!!

On my birthday October 3rd 1964 they won at home 2-1 against Rotherham but the game after on the 10th we lost 1-0 at Southampton. Finished 11th in Div 2 that season with 41 points. Lost 17 games out of 42.

Saturday 12th March 1960, a "friendly " against United at Maine Road as both teams had been knocked out the cup and their league fixtures were cancelled.
Lost 3-1! Typical City!
Born the day before.

I was born on the 28 th September 1964 and the next game at Maine Road was a 2-1 win over Rotherham in the old second Division, 3rd October 64. The crowds were really down that season and just over 15,000 watched the game. It was the season when just over 8,000 was at the Swindon Town match at Maine Road same game as City mad i see. How times have changed hey.

The PREVIOUS game to when I was born, was the 1956 FA Cup Final in which City beat Birmingham City 3-1 in May 1956.
For well known reasons,it became known as
The Trautmann Final.
And I was born at the end of June 1956.
(Apparently Dad took Mum to the homecoming parade in Albert Square (she was 8 months pregnant with me at the time) and that is why I have always been a City fan, even before I was born).
