Cricket Thread

If we could match the Aussies fielding / catching there wouldn’t be a lot of difference between the teams. Especially, now more of our players are getting a bit of a better understanding of Aussie pitches.
We’d have sauntered to victory in the last test if we’d caught just three of the dropped chances. They were worth 170 runs and we lost by less than half that.

Just been reading why the Aussies insist on having the score back to front; 6/315 as opposed to 315/6. Apparently, it goes back to the 19th century and a new scoreboard brought in at the SCG. Strange that, I think, they're the only major cricketing nation to have the score that way. An honourable keeping alive of a tradition, or typical Aussie stubbornness?

the groundsman trying to explain why out of nowhere (yeah right) he decided to leave longer grass on wicket. its cost them millions in lost revenue
It isn't cheating just ill advised and they are insured.

The 2 day first test wicket got little grief but people are very excited about the test four 2 day one.

Why the hell are drop-in wickets allowed in test cricket. I don't think in england we have any that are used for test matches

They would have 20k stadia for cricket like us if not used for 5 sports, all others churning up the pitch.

Australian Cricket should have its own cricket grounds and not multi-use sports ?
A drop in wicket can not be right for a major test series like the Ashes

A 20.000 stadium is about right ? god knows what it's like sat up in the rafters at the MCG. I bet it's impossible to see the ball and wickets like LBW or bowled

Ah okay. I thought the Australian women's team had been caught ball tampering!

Ashleigh Gardener is one of their top players.
